Synth party!!! 🤖🎹🎻🎧
After living on Salt Spring for a “whopping” 2 years, I’m going to play my first solo show of my own music! Join me on May 21st at All Saints ‘After Dark’ for an evening of music that will feature ambient electronic sets by me, playing music from my brand new solo violin + viola + electronics album, The Observer Effect (link to listen in bio), as well as two of my favourite musicians, Matt Robertson, playing music from his recent release, Aequora, and
@chrisgestrin , playing music from his newest album, So Below. To make the evening even more special, Wil Shulba will be creating a surround sound system that will envelop the audience in our warm vibrations. We may add a couple more surprises along the way, so stay tuned!
I’d like to invite you to come on May 21st and share in an experience of being together, listening, and letting our molecules mingle and shift as the music resonates through us. Whether we choose to observe, to be observed, or to simply be, I know that it will be a powerful escape from reality…or perhaps into a new reality! Bring a cushion and a blanket and get cozy with us! 🎟️Ticket link in bio!🎟️
The Observer Effect invites listeners into an immersive experience, examining the interplay between observation and reality—a principle drawn from quantum mechanics and philosophy. The album is an exploration of witnessing and being witnessed, an examination of emotional and political exchanges that shape our concepts of shared reality. The compositions gently examine themes of perception, illusion, and metamorphosis, revealing the intricate dynamics that influence sound and identity.
