Album of the year — 'Soft Spot' by Norwegian post-hardcore punks @honningbarna
Probably the album I've come back to the most. "INTENSE" is the best word to describe it — it's high energy, and often abrasive, but it's also melodic and actually hooky as hell. I don't understand a single lyric, yet it feels to me aggressively hopeful.
It makes me want to join their gang. It makes me want to have what they're having. It makes me ponder flight costs to Norway. That's good art.

Me and the daughter got really into our imaginary game so I decided to make her a mini-zine. Folded from an A4 sheet. She's digging it.

First go building a pedal (from a kit!) - it's the @godcitymusic Socialist Jr, because the 'You Fail Me' guitar tone is probably my favourite of any metal record. (Swoon).
And yes, it works! I've given it the first test run and it sounds gnarly as hell. Now I've got to decorate the thing 🙂

Cover art for my hardcore / punk / screamo band @ritemaker - EP out on Friday.
I've wanted to do a vertical strip on album art for a while. Bit of an homage to those Japan-only issues of albums in the 00s where there would be alternative art and a bonus track you later found on Limewire.
The fox idea came pretty easy. Fox hunting is such a weirdly specific (and English) class signifier, and I wanted the feel of the hunted becoming the hunter, the oppressed turning on the oppressor.

Looks like @barrowcloughiphop broke the seal on the album artwork, so I can spill the beans!
Been looking forward to sharing this for a while: "The Riddle & the Spyglass". It's a concept album, a narrative hip-hop opus. I wanted to create a kind of codex on the cover where all these symbols relate to references or language in the music.
Remade it twice over, basically redrawing everything by hand so that it had the feel I wanted 😅😅
But I really enjoyed the end result 🔥
