Very excited to share the side project I’ve been working on with creative partner @morganizer_c
Mysterywick is a part escape room puzzle, part luxury candle, part immersive storytelling experience. Each Mysterywick Puzzle Candle contains a mystery story, and as the candle burns, clues are revealed to solve the mystery. If you’ve ever played one of my custom escape box puzzles, this is the consumer-grade version of that :)
All Mysterywick candles are hand-poured by us and all the puzzles are handmade by us as well. This is an artistic labor of love that I am thrilled to be able to share!
Currently, Mysterywicks are only available via @dreameatersociety at @midsummerscream this weekend, booth 290.

Mysterywick Puzzle Candles: Slow Burning Mysteries for Quick-Thinking Minds🧩🕯️
Our amazing art dept and crew transformed our backlot set from a DC look into a NY look from Ford’s theater in the pilot to the Manhattan Fire Plot sequence in Ep. 4. The upper floors and corners were finished w VFX
A few key decisions we made about supporting @anthonyboyle ’s amazing performance of Booth was creating a prosthetic scar on his cheek and giving him a red wallpapered hotel room. The scar was Anthony’s idea and this is how I texted the placement for our makeup artist @robinbeauchesne to create while I was multitasking. Booth received the scar from a knife wound by a woman he had a dalliance with who caught him with her twin sister! Production designer @chloearbiture and I chose red for his room to give us a sense of hedonism & danger and to give the show some signature looks in a world that we mostly have on record as black & white. Anthony also grew his own mustache which we filmed as long as possible until continuity forced us to make a replica. Robin created a copy of his real whiskers for those scenes.
A surprise was finding my maiden name on the alley set where Booth escapes. 😆 Also here is an early development of the exterior alley build and some of the talented team who made it possible.
BTS Construction and development of our War dept sets both the DC and NY offices. One was on a stage and the other in a period location. Career highlight collab w the brilliant Production designer @chloearbiture@jbell1484 & their incredible team

🌲Within this box lies a gift from the Yule Demon, Krampus. What is the gift? That depends on you.
❄️For Centuries, Krampus has delivered the fates of the wicked. A few 'Nice' souls are rewarded a silver coin for their good deeds. 'Naughty' souls, however, are met with Krampus' birch switches. Those needing an extra lesson, are thrown into his wicker basket to be dragged down to hell.
😈How will Krampus judge you this year? Each Mysterywick Krampus holds a surprise within the wax. You will either receive a "Naughty" or "Nice" judgment from Krampus in the form of an enamel pin custom designed for this candle.

Spent Friday the 13th camped out at Camp Crystal Lake in the San Gabriel Mtns with @jbell1484 and our woofs. Didn’t die! I’m very late to the SoCal camping party…where should we try next?🍁🏕️

From the darkness, a harbinger of terror approaches the van. Your mom is kidnapped by this demented killer. It’s up to you to save her. Will you reach her in time?
