Day 2 of the PMI Conference! We explored the future of project management, with powerful keynote speeches, panel sessions, and breakout conversations , all centered around how project managers can leverage AI for better results and healthier lives. I had the privilege of speaking in one of the breakout sessions on: “Balancing the Hustle in the Age of AI: The Nigerian Project Manager’s Playbook for Productivity, Well-being, and Purpose-Driven Impact.” It was such a meaningful conversation because let’s be honest, as PMs, we’re not just managing projects… We’re managing chaos with grace😅, and while we’re chasing deadlines, we’re also responsible for the well-being of our teams and ourselves. I shared how AI tools like Asana AI, Trello AI, ClickUp, PMI Infinity, and ChatGPT can help us handle documentation and routine tasks, so we can focus on strategy, people, and impact. Because productivity alone is not enough. We need well-being + community impact to lead with purpose. Let’s stop glorifying burnout, AI may not replace your job, but burnout just might. Partner with AI, as your smart companion. It was a powerful session and the feedback has been amazing! I got a few DMs asking for my slides from Day 2 of the PMI Conference, and yes, I’m happy to share! Drop a 🔥 in the comments or DM me if you’d like a copy. It’s a full session on balancing productivity, well-being, and purpose using AI as your smart companion. 👉🏾 Did anything stand out to you from Day 2? Drop your thoughts below! Day 3 drops next! Stay tuned. 👀 #PMIConference2025 #Day2Recap #ProjectManagementWithPurpose #AIForPMs #SmartWork #ChinenyeAdeleye #WomenWhoLead #AIYourSmartCompanion #SpeakerSeries #PurposeDrivenLeadership

TEDx Speaker. Last week Saturday I had the opportunity to grace the podium of TEDxLautech. I spoke on Volunteering, the topic was building life skills through Volunteering, it's one topic I speak passionately about, because I see how much I've grown through the years and how people around who have been strategic about volunteering have evolved in their various careers. I had a really great time, the amazing line up of speakers.. @ade_gudy @yemisiadeyeye @tundeonakoya_ @diimejii @official_ennovatelab @aproko_doctor it was good to meet y'all. 🙏 And then! The students who put the event together, I remember telling them, that this is one of the best TEDx events I've ever attended, from the organization to the hospitality and how everyone of the was very courteous and respectful. I kept looking around, like you mean students planned this?? Oh wow! The participants were seated before 10am, and the hall was almost full by 11am! It's my first ever TEDx and I definitely look forward to more! Thanks to the team @tedxlautech_ for inviting me and trusting me with their platform, it means so much! My speech video will be out on YouTube in a bit! And I'll definitely share with y'all, till then enjoy the pictures 😅 and video in the last slide, lol! #ChinenyeAdeleye #TheCheeEffect #TEDxSpeaker 🔥 #Volunteering #VolunteersHubAfrica

GROWTH (From Attendee to Speaker, The Journey) It was very emotional time for me editing this video, the first ever time I attended a Tedx event was in 2015, I was soooo inspired by @bayoomoboriowo story and was like one day I’ll share my own story to inspire people on this same platform. It happened exactly 7 years after! When I said it, I don’t think I had a 7 year plan to go about it, I just saw a need in the development sector, Human capacity! How do we connect people who are interested in volunteering and people who are looking for volunteers to drive their developmental work and that was it for me! @volhubafrica was birthed through that question. I have attended about 6 Tedx events and 80% of the time I’m either volunteering, training volunteers, outsourcing volunteers and the recent one speaking on how volunteering can help build life skills because that’s my personal story. So it’s safe to say I served and volunteered my way to speaking at a TEDx event😅. I’m super proud of myself and grateful to everyone who have given me the opportunity to participate and volunteer at a TEDx event @tedxapata @tedxlagosng @tedxikeja @tedxbodija @tedxmaitama @onedemola @tedxlautech_ . Special thanks to @ted for this amazing platform! #TEDxSpeaker #IdeasWorthSharing #MyTEDxStory #7Yearsafter #Volunteering #ChinenyeAdeleye

Maternity gowns were never going to be my work uniform 😌, I made a decision early on that I was going to show up looking very good, feeling sharp, and walking into every meeting with my confidence intact, because how I look genuinely affects how I feel. So every morning I had to be physically in the office, I woke up early, did my makeup, picked my colors intentionally, wore my heels and showed up. And here’s your cheat code for today: invest in blazers. They’d do the most heavy lifting during pregnancy and nobody will convince me otherwise 😭 I’ll share more outfit formulas, color combinations, and styling tips coming soon for preggy mums in corporate and everything you need to show up sharp, confident, and polished through every trimester 🤍. For now, enjoy my video😅 about my looks from Monday-Friday. Happy Friday🎉 #PreggyFashion #Corporatelooks #CareerWoman #9to5Chick #IntentionalLiving

I resigned my job during my first pregnancy. I simply couldn’t keep up anymore. I was constantly sick, mentally drained, and trying so hard to hold everything together. At some point, I knew I needed to pause. Last year, I shared that story on YouTube (you can Watch here via link in my bio) how I almost lost myself to pregnancy, motherhood, and all its demands. Funny thing is… About TWO months after recording that video, I found out I was pregnant again 😭, I was terrified. My career was finally in a good place. New job. Speaking engagements. Feeling like myself again. The last thing I wanted was to lose all of that. But this time, I made myself a promise: I am not resigning. I’ll give this everything I’ve got, and so I did. I resumed that job pregnant, Travelled for work pregnant, Hit deadlines, carried out loads of projects pregnant, led strategy meetings, signed partnership deals, did speaking engagements — all pregnant. Sometimes I was so deep in the work, I forgot I was even pregnant 😅😅. Was it easy? No. It was demanding, emotional, and exhausting in ways I can’t fully explain. But here’s what this season taught me: support and your mindset changes everything. My company, my boss, my team, their flexibility, understanding, and kindness made all the difference. This pregnancy wasn’t perfect. But I was different. More aware, More vocal, More confident in myself, and honestly? I’m proud of myself. I’ve been putting together content on navigating work, ambition, and pregnancy at the same time, because with the right support, structure, and grace, it can be done. If you’re a Pregnant/ New mom navigating the corporate world, and you need someone to talk to my DMs are open🥰. To every woman holding it all together right now: I see you. You’re doing better than you think 🤍. #MotherhoodandCareer #WorkingMom #AmbitionAndMotherhood #BuildingcareersRaisingfamilies

I recently had the privilege of speaking at the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa 2026 event, with @justffl @thevictoriandu @lois_nweke and #EnitanOyenuga and here are some questions that stayed with me long after the conversation ended: “What feels unclear or unspoken about the path to senior leadership from where you currently stand?” In reflecting on it, one thing has become increasingly clear to me: at a certain point, your title begins to matter less than your positioning. Some of the rooms I’ve had the opportunity to sit in, from industry conversations to TEDx and PMI stages were not opened to me simply because of a job description. They were influenced by the work, perspective, and professional identity I had consistently built outside my formal role. It reinforced an important lesson for me: your career and your professional brand are two parallel journeys, and both require intention. * Another question I found particularly interesting was around what my generation may be getting wrong about success at the highest levels. I think many of us are optimising for visibility when we should also be building depth. There is a temptation to chase every opportunity, every platform, every moment of visibility. But many senior women I deeply admire built influence by becoming exceptional in their lane first. Their depth created trust, and that trust opened doors over time. I also think we sometimes underestimate patience. Sustainable influence is rarely built overnight. Excellence, consistency, credibility, and trust still matter deeply. And perhaps that is what prestige really is — not just recognition, but the cumulative effect of consistent work, meaningful contribution, and the reputation you build over time. As you go into the weekend, it may be worth taking some time to reflect on these things, so you can show up more intentionally and purposefully next week. Grateful for the opportunity to share and learn alongside such inspiring women. Special thanks to @ascentclubafrica @9to5chick and @iamgloryedozien @inspiredbyglory for the platform. #CareerGrowth #WomenInLeadership #PersonalBranding #9to5Chick

NextGen'26 started with a search across Africa, industries, roles, and companies to find the women under 35 who are not just “promising” but already delivering real results. Then the nominations came in, hundreds of them, with names of young women from different cities, countries and paths. In the end, 26 young women stood out. On April 25th, at the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa 2026, they were brought into one room and recognised as the NextGen’26 Honorees by 9to5Chick sponsored by FirstBank Nigeria @firstbanknigeria Not just for where they’re going, but for what they’ve already proven. A special thank you to FirstBank of Nigeria for backing this vision and supporting the recognition of the next generation of leaders. This is your moment 👏🏽 @stepswith_kome @chinenyenzom @thevictoriandu @miracle_ewim @happinessemordi1 @morayo_odunsi @thejovialjuro @oyindamola_sofoluwe @abi.davidolusa @ogechukwuabiago @lois_nweke And to every other honoree who couldn't make it in person, we celebrate you 👏🏾 If you see someone you know, don’t scroll past, celebrate them and give them their flowers in the comments.

I’m honoured to be recognised as a NextGen’26 Honouree, an award that celebrates women making meaningful strides in the corporate space. It’s encouraging to see platforms that intentionally recognise and elevate women who are contributing, growing, and shaping the future of work. I’m grateful to receive this recognition at the @ascentclubafrica Gala, where the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa were celebrated, courtesy of @firstbanknigeria . For me, it reflects growth, consistency, and the commitment to keep showing up — even in seasons that require stretching and evolution. Thank you to @inspiredbyglory , @9to5chick , and the entire @ascentclubafrica team for creating spaces that spotlight and support women. Congratulations to all the incredible honourees, @morayo_odunsi @miracle_ewim @thevictoriandu @happinessemordi1 @stepswith_kome it was great to see you all in person, and it’s so inspiring to be in this great company of amazing women! #NextGenWomen #WomenInLeadership #Grateful #CorporateAfrica #9to5chick

Two generations on one stage - Top 100 Honorees and NextGen Honorees. At the Ascent Top 100 Career Women in Africa, this wasn’t just another panel, it was a conversation that made people pause and really think about how we work across levels. Enitan Oyenuga acknowledged the work many NextGens are putting in, and challenged the older generation to be more intentional about bringing out the best in them not just leading them. Then Chinenye Adeleye @chinenyenzom said something that shifted the room: That a lot of NextGens are chasing visibility without building enough depth. Lois Nweke @lois_nweke mentioned that hard work doesn't always give you the results that you hope for and that's where visibility comes in. Folasade Femi-Lawal spilled the tea about strategic visibility moves that most NextGen's ignore while protecting their boundaries. The conversation wasn’t about choosing one generation over the other. It was about recognising where the gaps are and what becomes possible when both sides are willing to meet in the middle. If you missed this conversation, you’ll want to catch the replay. Click the link in bio to watch. Thanks to our amazing panelists Enitan Oyenuga , Folasade Femi-Lawal @justffl , Chinenye Adeleye @chinenyenzom and Lois Nweke @lois_nweke and our amiable moderator Victoria Ndu @thevictoriandu who facilitated the discussion.
