I put a ton of work into this record, holed up in my little home studio on the foggy southern edge of San Francisco, and I can’t wait to share it with the world. Obviously we couldn’t be more excited about this year’s Thrillhouse Winter Formal! And a big reason for that is having @chime.school on the bill! San Francisco has countless reasons to be excited about its underground music scene. Among them is the explosion of truly phenomenal jangle pop indie bands in recent years. Older bands are inspiring new bands to start. Countless side projects! And labels like @slumberlandrecords and @paisleyshirtrecords helping foster the local scene even further! It’s truly special what we have going on here. And if i had pick a favorite SF indie pop record, I’d pick the first Chime School record. From start to finish it’s a flawless LP! The band is great! The people in the band are great! We’re so stoked to party with them on Saturday! Hope you can be there too!! Saturday January 31st at @theknockoutsf door are at 8pm. First band starts at 8:30.
