Kung Fu at the Chico Farmers Market! Watch these incredible students of Master Vince Scocozza show off what they’ve been learning through the Chico Area Recreation & Park District Master Vince has been teaching Kung Fu San Soo in Chico for over 23 years, and his mission goes far beyond martial arts, building self-confidence, discipline & good decision-making in kids and adults alike. He’s even taught students who grew up and now bring their own kids to his classes! 💫 Instructor Spotlight: Meet Heidi Callister, SHiNE Dance Fitness Instructor! 💫 Heidi joined our CARD community back in January 2025 as a SHiNE Dance Fitness instructor and has been sharing her passion for movement ever since! She grew up active in both sports and fitness and took the leap to become a fitness coach at the age of 39. After discovering SHiNE at a retreat for her gym, Heidi pursued her own certification. Now she teaches SHiNE Dance Fitness at CARD, a program that blends jazz, ballet, hip hop, and high-energy interval training into a dynamic and uplifting workout. Heidi continues to encourage her students to find their own joy through movement in her inclusive and welcoming sessions at the CARD Community Center. Want to learn more about Heidi?
