If you were to tell 7 year old me that I was going to be working in film… I would FIRST point at you in a J’accuse way, and bestow upon you one of my made up swear words…because I would think you were getting my hopes up…SECOND I would gather up all of the random pieces of paper, that I had written random stories on, and dream of the day I would get to make my first film. What is the true unit of measure of a good life? What is the absolute to knowing yours is a life “worth” living? We can philosophize the sh*t out of every little thing that life throws at us. But when the rogue waves come, I believe time truly freezes within the person. I wasn’t going to post anymore about this cancer journey but the professionals that I have come across along this experience, and the survivors (even people still going through it are survivors, but cancer tends to hold a new definition for those who have the cells within them) they have shown me that this experience can possibly help others experiencing struggles in life. I believe we find our true selves within phases of survival in our lives. Especially as women, being more on guard as to what to reveal (physically and mentally), we find, as well as reveal ourselves in spaces and environments that we can never predict. For me I ironically found my true self after being diagnosed. And if you read this far WTF?! Thank you!I hope this helps you to continue on through the hells that are both in your control, and out of it. Laugh at the moments that scare you, and take note of the ones that make you feel safe. Both make up your story, and you never know whose life you can impact with just a word. No one makes it out of this world alive. 🖤🤙💯
