Each drinking glass is mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass and made using the Japanese Kurinuki technique, in which hand-carved clay forms are transformed into moulds. The method allows the ceramic texture to be transferred into the glass, creating an artisanal, tactile surface #kirinuki
During my trip to India in March, I met Lola over a drink in Goa. She told me about her studio Gamut, and showed me her handloom necklaces. I was immediately drawn to the delicacy of the weaving and the richness of the colours.
Gamut works with women weavers in central India, creating finely crafted pieces from glass beads, blending traditional techniques with a contemporary eye.
Very quickly, we started imagining something together â a simple, everyday object with a strong presence.
