Thank you to Anne Fontaine for hosting a beautiful Shop and Sip at her Chicago Oak Street location last week. Guests enjoyed an exclusive preview of the spring and summer collection, with Anne Fontaine herself welcoming Lighthouse supporters, including FLAIR co-chair Candid Candace (@candidcandace ) and FLAIR fashion show producer [tag] Tracey Tarantino Dibuono (@traceytdibuono ) of @zzazzproductions , as well as past FLAIR co-chair Sherrill Bodine (@sherrill_bodine ). We are grateful to everyone who joined us and shopped in support of our work. This event marked the start of the season for our annual FLAIR fashion show and luncheon, which will take place on October 2 at The Walnut Room.

As we celebrate our 120th year, we’re proud to honor the impact of programs that have supported generations of families. In 1974, we launched our Birth-to-Three program to help infants and toddlers with low vision reach key developmental milestones, and that impact continues to grow. Thank you to BMO (@bmo_us ) and Savant Wealth Management (@savantwealth ) for partnering with us as we honor this milestone year. Swipe for an audio-described version of the video. #ChicagoLighthouse120 #120YearsOfImpact #ChicagoNonprofit

We had a great time at State Senator Lakesia Collins (@senlakesiacollins ) 6th Annual Mother’s Day Celebration at Douglass Park on Saturday! Thank you to the Lighthouse volunteers who attended and team members who represented our Stronger Together program at this wonderful community event that focused on care, connection, and celebration. It was a joyful day with families from across the 5th Senate District enjoying music, food, giveaways, a petting zoo, and wellness activities, along with valuable community resources.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating one mother-daughter duo that navigates disability together. Zenobia is our front desk supervisor at The Lighthouse. She’s vision impaired due to Albinism, while her daughter, Myasia, has autism. Myasia graduated from college last week. For Zenobia, that’s the best Mother’s Day gift she’s ever received.

Everyone was so "egg-cited" for our annual beeping egg hunt in Glenview! Families from our Birth-to-Three program had a wonderful afternoon at the park, helping the kiddos hunt down colorful chirping eggs, building community over an ice cream social, and working on some spring-themed crafts. Thank you to the Glenview Lions Club (@glenviewlionsclub ) for sponsoring this beloved event every year!

In 1955, we opened the Midwest's first vision clinic focused on care for people with low vision and blindness. Since then, we have expanded our care to include psychological counseling, orientation and mobility training, assistive technology, and clinical research. What has never changed is our commitment to helping people with disabilities maintain their independence. Thank you to BMO (@bmo_us ) and Savant Wealth Management (@savantwealth ) for partnering with us as we honor this milestone year. #ChicagoLighthouse120 #120YearsOfImpact #ChicagoNonprofit

See how our occupational therapists help make learning more accessible for every student. In this video, Kate Ibara shares how OTs help students with visual, physical, and developmental disabilities in our Children’s Development Center build skills like eating, dressing, moving between activities, and connecting with others. Huge thanks to our incredible team of OTs, teachers, therapists, and staff who work together to make sure that every student has the tools they need to thrive at school and beyond. #OccupationalTherapyMonth #OTMonth
