Curated furniture selection for a house designed by Pierre Koenig in Los Angeles. The intervention was intentionally limited to furniture, objects and art, with no alterations to the existing architectural shell. The approach was guided by respect for Koenig’s clarity of structure, proportion and light. ••• The selection bridges California modernist heritage with contemporary design and art, allowing the architecture to remain central while supporting the way the house is inhabited today. Over the last months I’ve been recalibrating my practice, moving further into the space where design, curatorship and experience production intersect. It’s a direction that feels both natural and necessary — a shift toward shaping narratives, atmospheres and spatial experiences rather than only objects or interiors. One of the projects that marked this transition is @110_mallorca . My focus there centred on the production and curatorial development of the exhibition: the sequencing, the material language, and the behind-the-scenes decisions that define how a space is experienced. These are the aspects of the work I feel increasingly drawn to. I’m grateful to the people who have been part of this journey — collaborators, makers and friends who’ve contributed their skills, trust and perspective along the way. Brut / raw, unfinished A conceptual project for @loop_disseny_circularitat under the topic of “tocar Fusta” (touching wood), with the aim to give new life to existing material through artisanal techniques. The brief was to re-purpose wood profiles 70 x 50 mm coming from pine trees killed during a storm in Banyalbufar and rescued by @amarar_tramuntana . The project includes a chair and a coat rack: the raw aesthetic declares and celebrates the nature of the source material, where every component comes from dissecting the profile in order to minimise waste. The color detail highlights the one and only curved, sculptural gesture: the backrest. It was a blast to collaborate with @germanssantandreu who realised these pieces : to many more projects! And a joy to share the experience with all the other participants.

És un exercici sobre l’aplicació d’aquesta tradició al disseny contemporani. Fonoll Aquest disseny vol aportar tridimensionalitat a la representació de les flors, utilitzant l’escala, la superposició de formes i el color, el desplaçament de les tres flors en l’espai. El color degradat de les flors transmet moviment i adaptació a qualsevol cos. Cirerer Aquest disseny aspira a ser una interpretació moderna de la decoració d’estovalles feta Amb la tècnica del brodat, inspirada en formes orgàniques, espirals i asimetries. LA MADONA MODERNA Diseño: Chiara Ferrari Maestra artesana bordadora: Francisca Moyà Bordado: técnica de punto de cruz y cadeneta Reinterpretación tanto de los patrones de dibujos utilizados durante décadas como de su aplicación: el rebocillo como una capa moderna en una camiseta sofisticada. Es un ejercicio sobre la aplicación de esta tradición al diseño contemporáneo. Hinojo Este diseño quiere aportar tridimensionalidad a la representación de las flores, utilizando la escalera, la superposición de formas y el color, el desplazamiento de las tres flores en el espacio. El color degradado de las flores transmite movimiento y adaptación en cualquier cuerpo. Cerezo Este diseño aspira a ser una interpretación moderna de la decoración de mantel hecha con la técnica del bordado, inspirada en formas orgánicas, espirales y asimetrías. Over the past weeks we’ve been curating and realising a collective, performing exhibition @110_mallorca , with the contribute of many creatives working across the island and beyond. The “Open Lab” was informed by the experimental nature of each project and, visually, by us wearing uniforms - made by @ceciliasorensencollection for the event, using locally sourced cotton sheets from hotels’ waste. In this edition, the focus has been on “adapt-ability”, manifesting through different medias and interpretations around this topic. The basement @ Koenig’s Schwartz house in Santa Monica, California. The house was completed in ’93 and it was Pierre Koenig’s last project, set in the land of Los Angeles. We were luckily commissioned to re-furnish part of the house, adding pieces that feels like they have always been there. This room reflects at best the concept of mixing California design heritage with elements of contemporary design that complement the aesthetic of the original architecture/interiors. Here’s a glimpse of the first design event @110_mallorca celebrating its collaboration with the brand @fantinsrl . Taking a leap from Fantin’s bold use of color and modularity as a design tool, we’ve orchestrated a #toneontone world made of graphics, hand made objects, furniture and accessories. In the mix, we’ve involved wool makers @llanatura and furniture gurus @2monos_studio who added incredible value and are part of the space. More outdoor details at #110 . . . Few exquisite furniture pieces complement the raw shell - to the bare essential. The dominant lighting element - “bellhop” by @barberosgerby x @flos - is the consistent element for front and rear facades of the building. Pix @grimaltdeblanch
