We will never get tired of watching these kids compete. The energy, the application of skills they have worked hard to develop, its truly remarkable!
We are obsessed!
The results:
Auden was our highest ranking student
🥇🥇 Double gold! Gi & No Gi at his very first Jiu-Jitsu tournament.
Weston, scrappy as ever! 🥇🥈 One gold, one silver.
Hendrix, the only 5 year old in his bracket [the rest were 6 yrs]. 🥈🥈 double silver.
Zeke got to experience his first tournament win which placed him on the podium 🥈 in 2nd place!
Doug and Adam brought home 🥉big efforts and tough competition. 💪
We couldn't be more proud. These kids are winners to us simply for having the courage to get out their and do it!
Way to go Estacada kids!

If Jiu-Jitsu was easier, more people would do it. It breaks you down and builds you back stronger.
It takes incredibly bravery and courage to even find yourself competing. Even though not everyone got to experience the podium yesterday we are equally proud of each and every person who trained hard, came prepared and gave it everything they had!
Michael and Mitch had stacked brackets each only loosing 1 match placing them on the podium in 2nd place. 🥈🥈 Michael decided to focus only on Gi and Mitch only on No Gi this time around.
Kyle had some seriously scrappy matches. So fun to watch- he put on a solid show of skill and athleticism.
Cole, Taylor and Elle worked hard. They showed up and laid it all on the mats. They didnt back down from the challenge and even when they knew it would be tough they kept going. All 3 showed great perseverance.
Way to go team!
We love this gym because of the people in it!

** Shout out to gym mom Kayla for creating the best content.
@fraznuggets deserves a separate permanent spot on our feed. We met Frazer probably 4 years ago now. When we first had the idea of opening a gym, Frazer was in the ideal room. Or rather be it the idea basement. He showed up for us when it was just a concept, and he's stuck with us all the way to being on the ADCC podium. He helps with kids class, covers our vacations, affords us the opportunity to take a sick day when we need it.
He makes a regular Tuesday night better by being in the room. He gives tough rounds in a loving way. Everyone looks forward to having him in class.
We are really grateful for your involvement in the gym and more importantly , for your friendship all of these years. Watching you grow in the sport and in your life is a joy.
2nd place! Not too bad for a farmer 🤪💓
Your a total badass 😎
Estacada sent 4 athletes to @adcc_official today and all 4 made the podium!
🥇Weston achieves GOLD
🥈 Jamie achieves SILVER
🥈 Dakota achieves SILVER
🥈 Frazer achieves SILVER
Some highlights:
💪Weston brought the heat! He had submission attempt after submission attempt and submission after submission- Triangle and arm triangle wins to name a few. This is Weston's 2nd ADCC and im sure many to come!
💪For Jamie, Dakota and Frazer it was their very first ADCC. With a different rule set it took planning and practice to rise to the level of todays competition.
💪 Frazers silver match was up a belt color 🟪🟦👀
We are SO proud of our team. We were a small but mighty group today!
Let's go ChessLab!

No we didnt forget about the youth boys update! Coming at ya now!
Zane 🥇🥇 Gold in Gi & No Gi 3 submission wins and 1 win by decision. First ever tournament.
Trapper 🥇🥇Gold in Gi & No Gi. 5 record wins 3 by submission.
Weston 🥇🥇 Gold in both. Kids a beast!
Rocky 🥇🥇 Gold in Gi & No Gi. Unfortunately , some of these matches [but not all] were against our own teammates , but they made the most of it and had a great time.
Adam 🥇 in Gi- Adam is a great example of consistency overtime. He doesn't train wild or cram it all in in the last minute. He stays consistent year round , and it always pays off.
Xavier 🥈 in No Gi 🥇 in Gi. 3 wins by decision. this was his first tournament as well. If there was an award for most improved during competition prep , that award would go to Xavier.
Hendrix 🥈🥈 Silver in Gi & No Gi. Had a couple of good wins and took a few losses. Our youngest team competitor.
Ronin 🥈🥈🥈 2 Gi divisions and 1 No Gi. If i'm not mistaken , this was his first yellow belt tournament. Composition was on another level. It was also incredibly fun that his matches got to be on the main stage.
James 🥈 in No Gi 🥉in Gi. This was James's first tournament.
Henry 🥉in Gi and 🥈in No Gi. This was another one where a lot of matches were against our own teammates but sometimes that's just the way that it works out. Henry still had a great attitude.
Jack M 🥉 in Gi. He won 3 matches by decision to earn that bronze medal. Far from a constellation prize. Only lost one of his Gi matches. A seriously excellent performance. This kid is scrappy.
Ryan 🥉🥉 in Gi & No Gi.
Jackson 🥉Bronze in No Gi. He had a great decision win that he scrapped hard to get. Fun to watch.
Brock🥉in Gi. Competed in his first tournament and had some tough opponents.
Zeke mostly had matches against friends, which can be fun but also disappointing. He showed up with a positive attitude and made the most of his day.
Tanner, Ben, & Jack A didn't make the podium , but it wasn't for a lack of effort. It was Tanner's first competition , and when he learned that his opponent was going to be a tough one , he did not shy away. He showed up ready to go and gave it his all.
Amazing 👏
