SOLIDARITY WITH IRAN AND LEBANON - CALL FOR DONATIONS, ACTION, AND SOLIDARITY
murmur stands in solidarity with the people of Iran and Lebanon, and all those suffering under the weight of imperialist violence, while fighting for sovereignty and dignity.
Next to offering a space for our communities, artists and friends to come together, we also believe it is our duty as a space to speak out and provide mutual aid to everyone affected.
We are therefore organising a donation drive for a small grass roots operation in Beirut within our own direct network: on a daily basis, this small team of volunteers are providing relief and support to the forcibly displaced people of South Lebanon and Dahiyeh, currently sheltering on the streets, in cars, in schools that have turned to shelters, and other temporary locations - providing them with warm meals, mattresses & blankets, baby formula, medication, sanitary products, and more.
In Iran, while a “ceasefire” is in place now, over the past weeks U.S./zionist entity forces have bombed more than 81,000 civilian sites, displacing over 3.2 million people.
And while Western sanctions and the ongoing internet blackout have locked Iranians out of the global financial system, making it harder than ever to get financial support directly to the Iranian people, we urge you to find a way: whether through trusted peer-to-peer networks, verified diaspora organizations, or platforms like the Iranian Red Crescent Society, who are providing direct support to search and rescue teams, medical care, and emergency supplies for Iranian civilians.

This is a compilation curated by HHC Records to help raise funds for Lebanese displaced families following Israeli attacks on Lebanon. All sales and contributions from this project will be given to Em Mohamad's Karentina Kitchen and other local grassroots initiatives providing direct aid on the ground.

Since the recent escalations began on March 2, Em Mohammed has been working tirelessly to feed around 200 people who have been displaced by Israel’s attacks against South Lebanon and Beirut’s suburbs. She has managed to do all that out of her humble kitchen in Karantina, her relief efforts having started during the August 4 blast, in which she also cooked meals for those affected in Karantina.

There are currently over 700,00k displaced people in Lebanon, with the number increasing each day. Official organizations and NGOs are overwhelmed, and it is up to individuals to talk the lead to do the essential work of care taking. When the very sanctity of life is under threat, we are all invited to care for it however we can.
