With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Ae, a beloved member of our Thip Khao family. He was one of our core team who had been with us since the very beginning. Ae was deeply loyal, incredibly hardworking, and one of the kindest people we had the privilege to know and work alongside. Our team and I are heartbroken by his sudden loss.
In mid-April, Ae became seriously ill and within two weeks he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. While traveling back home to Thailand to be with his family, on May 15th he peacefully passed away during his journey. His resting soul is currently in Seoul, Korea as arrangements are being made to transport him to his hometown of Lampang, Thailand.
The financial burden on his family has become overwhelming. The cost of transport, funeral arrangements and medical expenses are well over $25,000. We are asking our community, friends, and loved ones to come together to support Ae’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease the financial strain and honor Ae’s memory with dignity and care.
On behalf of Ae's wife, Ann, his daughter, Promtan family and our entire Thip Khao family, we thank you for your love, prayers, and support.

What an incredible night with @chefseng for our second AAPI Friends of the Flock dinner.
Thank you to everyone who joined us as we explored the bold, vibrant flavors of the Lao food movement through a menu that was playful and collaborative. It was a joy working alongside Chef Seng and her team to create something truly special together.
Next up: @dannyleedc joins us in the RO kitchen on May 20 for another one-night-only guest chef dinner. Availability is limited, so reserve your tickets now at the link in bio.

Weekend lunch plans solved, moms. 💐✨
Our Yum Salad is a fresh take on a traditional Lao favorite — crisp iceberg wedge layered with rich Lao egg salad dressing, topped with crispy soft shell crab, dancing shrimp and crushed peanuts and pistachios for the perfect crunch. Light, savory, refreshing, and just indulgent enough. 🦀🥬
Bring mom by this weekend and share something special around the table.
Available for dine in only ⭐️ We have our regular à la carte menu available alongside our Spring special features.
Reservations available @opentable

This Mother's Day weekend's specials are dedicated to the mothers who deserve the very best. As a mother myself, I'd like to acknowledge the exceptional leadership of a 21-year-old named Levi, who has demonstrated remarkable growth from his role as a dishwasher at @thipkhaodc to his current position as kitchen supervisor and lead cook at @baanmaedc . These special dishes will be prepared by him and his team. I am proud of him and the rest of my team.🥰
Happy Mother's Day!

On Monday night we hosted @chefseng for a very special @baanmaedc X @barsenokc collaboration dinner. It was truly an honor to cook with this amazing, talented woman & chef, who has been the leader of our cuisine and has paved the way for so many Lao-American chefs. Thank you for hanging with us in OKC and for inspiring us all!
