More than just a restaurant, KRAKEN takes inspiration from the heritage of Emirati fishermen and seafarers, bringing local seafood into a modern, creative experience.
Led by Chef Grégoire Berger @chefgregoireberger and Chef Robin Höfer @chefrobinhoefer , the concept is all about bold seafood flavors, fire cooking, and locally sourced ingredients.
The menu was seriously impressive. Shrimp Chicharron, Fujairah Oyster, Yellowtail Tuna Pizza, Cobia Sashimi, Octopus Tacos, and dry-aged Kingfish with herb sauce and kale. Fresh flavors, clean presentation, and every dish had its own personality.
Even the drinks and desserts stood out. Homemade lemon soda, Wild Strawberry, and the famous Crabuccino were all worth trying.
Beautiful atmosphere, creative seafood dishes, and one of the most unique dining concepts in Dubai right now.

German-born Chef Robin Höfer built his foundations in Michelin-starred kitchens across Europe, with further experience at Ossiano in Dubai, Disfrutar in Barcelona and Core by Clare Smyth in London. Before taking the helm at Kraken, he ran a private Chef’s Table concept, refining a style shaped by precision and restraint. A finalist for Gault&Millau UAE’s Future Great of the Year 2025, he now leads Kraken’s kitchen with a clear focus on sustainability and a menu centred on locally sourced seafood and produce.
