So lucky to have talented friends like @bush_icecreamery 🤗🙌 who turns fruit into magic 🪄⭐️ Chempedaks that we grew were transformed into granita and paired with dragonfruit and makrut lime. SO good!! 🙏🍧🍨🍦

After nearly 9 years (and just before my 50th birthday) - it’s time for a change. At the end of February I’ll be leaving the @baygrocer / @100miletable / @homeytakehome family. Not 100% sure what I’ll be doing but I’m (still !) studying nutrition and I think I’ll try and head more in that direction. 🧑‍🍳🥕🥦🥬🫚🫜🌱🍋🫐 Wish me luck! 🤞🍀 ❤️Laura

Home again, home again, jiggedy jig. Wow, what a big few weeks. Nearly 4000 kms driven, lots of sightseeing and time with family. Thanks @knotknotbyron and boys for looking after the dog, cat and chickens while we were away 🙏😘 As fun as the road trip was, It’s so good to be home. Now for some serious mowing and whipper snipping!

A few days back in the old hood. We lived in St Kilda for 5 years in our mid to late twenties. For this year’s wedding anniversary we stayed a few streets away from where we used to live, revisited lots of old haunts and decompressed from the city frantic vibes with some nature check ins at the St Kilda botanical gardens. Great to see what has changed and what has stayed the same but that’s enough for us middle aged farm dwellers 😆 P.s managed to pick up a copper fish kettle from hard rubbish as we walked around Elwood! Score!! 🐟

While on our road trip, there has been a marked difference between areas regarding the acknowledgement of traditional caretakers/owners and the indigenous history of each place. Some have large signs denoting the country you are entering and many other forms of information about how/where the original inhabitants lived, ate and looked after the environment. In other towns, there is no such easily located information and the lack of acknowledgment is quite disappointing. Hopefully this changes sooner rather than later. Always was, always will be. 🖤💛❤️
