Led by Pip, this session opens up a world of elemental cooking using GRIT clay pots, flameware casseroles, traditional cooking stones and modern fire techniques.
Alongside her, Leia from GRIT will walk through the technical side of the ceramics: how they’re made, how they behave under high heat, and how to use them safely, confidently and repeatedly in a contemporary kitchen.
This is ancient technique brought into the now. Cooking that’s instinctive, elemental and wildly expressive.

Last night @pipsplate took over the 100 Mile Table kitchen and cooked the most incredible @hibachitabo feast … yakitori chicken and shiitake skewers, Vietnamese pork with nuoc cham, seared local fish with ginger oil and sambal, sticky rice and wombok salad. All cooked over coals, all absolutely delicious.

Yesterday, in my kitchen @100miletable Cooking School, the incomparable @belindajefferyfood . I mean - there’s just actually no one like her. A warm and wonderful cook, a sharer of tips and tricks and ideas and a lifetime of knowledge and know-how. She’s funny too. And her sidekick is not one to be missed. Thanks Clive.
