I woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and emotion. I’ve worked in kitchens since I was 17, pouring my heart and soul into every dish. To see the hours, love, and dedication I’ve given to so many kitchens lead to finding my unique cooking style is a dream come true. Amiga Amore is my love letter to Los Angeles—a city that raised me inspired me, and taught me the beauty of cultural diversity and community. ❤️ Opening our doors was no easy feat, and keeping them open has been a labor of love, but through it all, the food and creativity have been my driving forces. Sharing my life’s story through the flavors of Mexitalian cuisine—a celebration of my love story with my husband—has been my greatest joy. Being nominated for 2025 Best Chef California by the @beardfoundation is an honor. As a female chef, this recognition means everything. I owe it all to my incredible staff, our supporters, and the Amiga Amore family, who have stood by us every step. This is for Los Angeles, the city that shaped me, and for everyone who believes in the power of food to tell stories and bring people together. 🏆✨ #JamesBeardNominee2025 #AmigaAmore #MexitalianCuisine #LosAngelesLove #FemaleChef #DreamComeTrue #CommunityAndCulture 📸: @craftmedia_nick

So much gratitude to everyone who made Cinco De Amore one hell of a fiesta. To our incredible staff grinding through the chaos with heart, the DJs keeping York Blvd alive deep into the night, the local vendors, the friends, the regulars, the beautiful strangers who pulled up hungry for food, music, and connection... this night was about community in its purest form. The smell of sizzling food in the air, cocktails flying across the bar, music bouncing off the street, people packed shoulder to shoulder laughing, eating, dancing. That’s the good stuff. That’s the reason places like this matter. Celebrating 3 years of Amiga Amore last night meant more than we can really put into words. We’ve evolved so much from the day we first opened our doors. What started as a dream, built with a lot of grit, uncertainty, passion, and late nights, has slowly transformed into something that truly feels like home. And the truth is, it only feels that way because of every single person who works here, supports us, cooks with us, collaborates with us, and walks through these doors to share a meal and a moment together. You are what make this place special. Every single person who helped bring the Amore brought their own flavor to the table, and together we created something unforgettable. A messy, beautiful celebration of neighborhood, culture, hospitality, and human connection. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up and celebrating with us. York Blvd was alive last night. 📸: @craftmedia_nick

As a chef and a mom, this cause is deeply personal to me. At Amiga Amore, food is love, and every child deserves access to nourishment, care, and the chance to thrive. I’m honored to be part of Night Out for No Kid Hungry Los Angeles this Saturday, April 11th in Downtown Los Angeles, cooking alongside incredible chefs like Brooke Williamson, Mei Lin, Melissa King, Duff Goldman, and Michael Voltaggio. This night is about more than food. It’s about showing up for children and making sure no one goes hungry. As a mother, I will always support this mission.

No April Fools jokes over here, just real gratitude 🤍 Grateful for a month filled with powerful collaborations and an even more powerful community. We’re constantly reminded how meaningful it is to be part of a network that shows up, creates together, and uplifts one another. We kicked things off with a feature on KTLA 5 alongside @helloitsbreezy from @homestate and @lientigre , setting the tone for a month rooted in connection and visibility. From there, we headed into @smorgasburgla for Della Donna Festival. Huge thank you to @midtownlunchla and his team for helping us bring everything together and supporting the production so we could show up fully for this special pop up. One of the most memorable moments was an intimate Women’s History Month dinner at @rossoblula brought together by @dinasam . We had the honor of cooking alongside an incredible lineup of chefs including @chefrashidaholmes of @bridgetownroti , Chef Kunikoo Yagi of @pikunicola , and Chef de Cuisine Susana Alvarez. It was a beautiful evening centered around storytelling, creativity, and the power of women in the kitchen. We also had a surprise visit from none other than @curtisstone who featured our story and cooked elote pasta with us. It was a special moment that really highlighted what we’re doing with our Mexitalian cuisine and the impact it’s having on the community. Huge shoutout to the producer and very good friends of this segment @edenxjay We ended the month our Eastside Babes Brunch in collaboration with @joselitostujunga and @weareneighborsandfriends . Thank you to @regardingherfood for always supporting and showing up for community driven events. These gatherings are a reminder of what happens when women come together with intention. It was a jam packed month, and we are so thankful to everyone who shared their time, energy, and creativity to celebrate women in food and hospitality. We will always continue to support women in the kitchen and honor the impact they have on this industry and beyond 🤍 📸: @craftmedia_nick @casey.creates__
