The week before holidays always hits different. It’s fuelled by coffee, hard work, the best moments with Kaz and the boys, hospitality at its finest at COR & RAGƙ, and a frankly ridiculous amount of tiramisu. šŸ’› There’s a lot to be said about parenting and simply getting through a day. If you’re not waking up an hour before your alarm, up three times in the night, getting screamed at by a toddler or a nine‑month‑old (or both) before your first coffee, troubleshooting work problems while potty training and wrestling two small humans into clothes before breakfast… I’m probably not taking advice from you. That’s just the reality of parenting right now. You take the wins where you can find them. šŸ™ƒšŸ„° We had a stunning, genuinely fun seafood collab with Jonny @consciousfoodco at @correstaurant . The front‑of‑house and kitchen teams made the whole evening feel magic. It was good to be properly back in the kitchen again, away from the desk, that’s the heart of it all. Huge thanks to the regulars and new guests who came out for it. šŸ”„ We also took the boys to @wethecurious_ with Kaz, such a good day out. Any parent with kids, get the yearly pass. Worth it for the eleven months of winter we get in Bristol. Spent time shooting the beautiful seasonal food and drink coming out of COR & RAGƙ at the moment. The teams are doing incredible work and it shows. And yes… made a lot of tiramisu. A sell‑out takeaway day last Saturday. 80 tezzas gone in 12 minutes. Completely mental. Thanks for everyone who showed up and enjoyed them ! Through all of it, the boys and Kaz keep reminding me of the simple things. Even with the chaos, the never‑ending roles of janitor, KP, chauffeur, director, accountant & social media manager they bring so much joy into the world. šŸŒšŸ’œ

Tartelette of lemon curd, Italian meringue, lavender gelato & cream chantilly. šŸ‹ A nice neat tart that’s made its way onto our specials board this week following some development for our @consciousfoodco x COR collab next week. šŸ”„ we can’t wait to spend the clinging the kitchen with @jonnysamuelburnett

Our two little neighbourhood restaurants in Bristol have been lucky to grow alongside the communities around us. Since opening, we’ve tried to use food as a way to support and uplift people, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to give back. With the help of our guests, COR & RAGƙ have been able to donate thousands of pounds to 27 different charities. None of this happens without the people who choose to sit at our tables, and we’re genuinely thankful for that support. At the moment, we’re proud to be supporting @bs3_community_development @bs3communitycare , who do incredible work for those living and working in BS3. Their team offers everything from childcare and family support to exercise classes, creative workshops, and community activities, all aimed at building a stronger, more connected neighbourhood. We’re a small part of a much bigger effort, and we’re grateful to stand alongside organisations who make Bristol a kinder place. šŸ“ø by @benjaminpryor & @waqas_q_

Fantastic mention for COR in @lynesandrew substack ā€˜serving up’. If we ever had to pick a restaurant to represent Bristol, we’d pick COR. It’s cosy, it’s neighbourhood, it’s inventive, it’s got some of Bristol’s best cocktails – the negroni bianco, for one. The food is sensational. Has anyone ever said a bad word about COR? Unlikely. Don’t skip the sourdough with whipped black garlic butter or whatever savoury canele is currently in residence on the specials board. After that, just dive headfirst into whatever else you fancy from the Mediterranean small plates menu – because it’s all brilliant.’ @meghoughtongilmour being a legend and shouting us out šŸ”„

Last couple of weeks ā˜€ļø šŸ’œ The sun finally showed up, which is always great, even when everything decides to break at once. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø This last couple week’s at work I’ve been unblocking drains, installing an ice machine, sorting dimmers, fixing a toilet flush, a coat rack, a couple of chairs, bar stools, a table top, a freezer and a fridge. The usual never‑ending list that you just have to laugh about because it keeps you grounded. šŸ˜… Made a bit of progress at home too, even though the infinity garden continues to be a right prick of a project. One of those jobs that hangs around and the weather won’t let you finish. The car broke down, the washing machine gave up… it really does come in threes (or three sets of threes). Everyone at home has been in the trenches with sickness , it must be that time of year? But we’ve still had some lovely days together. Proper fucking Sundays are making a comeback with this weather. Leo’s sitting up now and happily entertaining himself, which he loves. Lucas is obsessed with his bike from Nan & Pop, flying around the ramps and pump tracks. Swimming is going well for both of them, and we tried our first babysitter this week, success. Big love to all the parents doing it with limited support. Food and drink across COR and RAGƙ have been in a really good place. T, V and their teams are absolutely smashing it. Some great shots of the crew, the plates, the drinks, and a very busy tiramisu takeaway run at COR. Huge appreciation to everyone making it happen every day. It was lovely to see RAGƙ mentioned by @jayrayner1 in the @financialtimes , and both COR & RAGƙ being nominated for @codehospitality Best Local Restaurant. And winning Best Employer at the Bristol Life Awards @bristollifeawards means a lot to us. Plenty going wrong, plenty going right. šŸ”„ Loving Shiro Sagisu orchestra tunes for anime atm.

COR & RAGƙ šŸ’™ Ingredient‑led cooking, warm rooms, generous plates that are affordable with both restaurants in the Michelin guide. šŸ‘Œ Proud of these teams and the joy they bring every day.

A lovely surprise to see RAGƙ pop up in the Financial Times today. Jay Rayner @jayrayner1 came for a quick lunch and left talking about trout crudo, anchovy‑smeared asparagus and those chaotic little deep‑fried potatoes - thank you šŸ™ We’re just happy people enjoy what we cook in our tiny box on Wapping Wharf. Well done team šŸ”„ @financialtimes Well done @other.restaurant also šŸ”„

We’re incredibly proud to share that COR has been nominated for the Good Food Guide’s 100 Best Local Restaurants 2026. From the beginning, COR has been about our neighbourhood — the people who walk through the door, the community that’s grown around the restaurant, and the sense of welcome we try to offer every single day. Great food, great wine, and relaxed, generous hospitality have always been at the heart of what we do. If you’d like to support us, voting is open until 16th April. You can find the link in our bio. Every vote genuinely means the world to our team. Thank you for being part of COR. @goodfoodguideuk
