Introducing The Little Tony 🥪👀 Buon appetito! @chefbroth and team are thrilled to debut our very own Tonino sandwich on the @parishcafe menu! Run, don’t walk, to visit our Parish friends at 361 Boylston St. Mortadella and caciocavallo on toasted ciabatta, layered with calabrian mayo, giardiniera relish, and lemon-tossed arugula. Served with a side of fresh mixed greens. “The Parish Cafe opened in November 1992. Its concept is simple, but fabulous! Owner Gordon Wilcox approached Boston’s famous chefs and asked them each to create a sandwich for the Parish Cafe menu. Each sandwich is named for the chef and the restaurant they are from. Since our menu items are created by other chefs our standards are extremely high, which shows through in our enormous following.” . . . . Surprise, travelers and food lovers — we are going to PUGLIA in November! It is the perfect place to visit if you love food, cooking, or history, and especially if you love all three. Join us for an unforgettable culinary and cultural experience in the heel of Italy’s boot! 🇮🇹 Known for its rich food scene, Puglia is home to delicious olive oil, burrata, orecchiette pasta, wine and more. We are lucky to have the opportunity to learn from @chefbroth of @tonino_jp for the entire week and he will tie it all together with a hands-on cooking class showcasing local flavors. We will also explore Puglia’s history with visits to Castel del Monte, Lecce’s Baroque architecture, and Matera’s ancient cave dwellings. If that’s not enough, we’ll be staying all week long at the spectacular Borgo Egnazia, the site of the 2024 G7 Summit. It’s a very special place, and we are really lucky to be able to offer a week-long stay at what Conde Nast Traveler says, “The dreamily beautiful Borgo Egnazia is one of the loveliest places to stay in all of Italy.” Spots are filling up fast—reserve yours now at OldwaysPT.org! ✈️ #puglia #italy #italytravel #culinarytravel #culinarytrip

They like us, they really like us!! I’m truly taken back by the overwhelming love that Tonino has received over the last two years and couldn’t be more thankful to all the recognition we have received. It is truly an honor to be on this list again this year! Little Tony’s family is one of a kind and are a blessing for joining me on this crazy path, which most of us know isn’t so easy. Without my team, I would have never been able to make this dream a reality. Thank you @bostonmagazine , @blumie625 , @madstrap , @ninagallant_ , @kteig !

Over the last few weeks, Little Tony has received some amazing recognitions that if you asked me two years ago, I would have never expected to get. I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone that has supported us since day one. It’s been a blessed two years so far and we don’t plan to stop or change the way we’ve been. But I never could have done this without the team you see here. Most have been with us since day 1 and I feel incredibly lucky to have their support day in and day out. As we all know, it’s a grind, and times can be tough, but it’s so fulfilling at the end of the day. You also put up with me, and I appreciate you all for that ;). So this is a thank you to the @tonino_jp family, who deserves all the recognition. Thank you Angela, Brian, Ben, Dan, Erik, Catherine, Jess, Ken, Lei, Rosa, Taylor, & Zak. You guys kick fucking ass and I couldn’t ask for better teammates. And of course, thank you Claire for setting the table with me and getting all of this off the ground. We created Lil Tony to nourish our community with a cozy space to meet your neighbors, with warm, unpretentious hospitality, and delicious food and we don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

One year ago today we opened the Tonino doors with the ethos of being a “new place to meet your neighbors” in Jamaica Plain. We wanted it to be a space where guests and team members alike found joy and comfort and connection. Where guests could delight in a new found beverage (sake with Italian food?!) and be hugged from the inside by pasta made by our very own Pasta Granny Brian @brian_fitzgerald_ . We wanted our hospitality to exude the warmth of a dinner party, and our food to be consistently delicious. We envisioned strangers becoming friends (looking at you Tonino Bambinos!) and cultivating a Circle of Gratitude within our community (which we were actually able to achieve through a pay-it-forward gift card program generously sponsored by some JP Locals!). We wanted to be open on Sundays + Mondays so we could take care of our hospitality community after they’ve spent a long hard week taking care of others. What’s crazy about the vision above? IT ALL HAPPENED ✨💖✨ Thanks to our amazing team and incredible guests’ whose powerful word-of-mouth keeps our dining room full every night, we are proud to have achieved that vision in our first year of being open. WOW 🥹 Our hearts could not be more full of love and appreciation for each and every person in our village who helped us bring this vision to life (the limit to Instagram tagging does in fact exist) and it is with clear eyes and full hearts that we excitedly enter Year Two 💗✌️
