We’re missing a few in this photo: Simon, Isobel, Sarah (Owner of @fabrickcollective.ca )and Fanta. But the love, effort and energy is all still deeply felt!
We are a group of local organizers & friends who volunteer 100% of our time and energy into building this resource in support of local families. Through fundraising, personal investment and the generous support of community partners like @chef_t__ , @barrhavenbakes , @balloonsbyfar and @silkluxedecor , we’re able to bring sustainable initiatives like this to life!
Sip & Swap was created as a FREE community market.. A space where families can come and take what they need, completely free of charge.
And every year, we’re reminded it becomes so much more than that. Families come for clothing, they come to share a meal, to connect with us and each other, to chat, to laugh and to build real community.
That’s the part that stays with us the most❤️
To every volunteer and donor.. we cannot thank you enough. Our hearts are full and we’re already looking forward to the next Sip & Swap✨

This was our biggest one yet! Over 100 families showed up, found pieces they needed, laughed, ate, captured beautiful Mama & Me moments and stayed for some delicious BBQ. Exactly what community is supposed to feel like!💛
