So proud of my team “War and Piece” for getting 23rd this year at the @usajigsawpuzzle National Championships! It was so much fun to puzzle with @onepieceonthefloor @cheesypuzzler and @tammymcleodpuzzler Nationals is pretty much the last BIG competition I have for a while. Will definitely participate in some local competitions but nothing on a national scale until next year. I already miss all my puzzle people. I took a trip over to the San Diego Automotive Museum this weekend to check out what they have. The current main exhibit is featuring Formula 1 racing and has race cars from different races and decades. I didn’t realize how many Grand Prix races there are all over the world! The main reason I went to the museum was to see the old cars and they did not disappoint. Picture 1: 1938 Cord 810 Sportcar. I’m a sucker for whitewall tires. Also, this one has rear-hinged doors. The design stems from the doors that they used on hose drawn carriages. Picture 2: 1936 DeSoto Airflow S2. Check out the hood ornament on this one - referred to as the “flying lady” mascot. Picture 3: 1955 Chevy Belair Nomad. To me, this is what I picture when someone says classic car. Is it a classy station wagon? Yes. Would I own one if I had the chance? Also yes. Picture 4: 1905 REO Runabout. Random Eli Olds chose the famous acronym REO to distinguish itself separate from Oldsmobile. Also, an inspiration for a late 60s rock band name. So much fun and the exhibits rotate every 3 months so I’m already marking my calendar for the next visit! @sandiegoautomuseum @sdautomotivemuseum

Had to get this one in for #alllarsmay! I’ve had it in my collection for a while, and for some reason it has remained sealed. It was such a fun puzzle with all the rainbow colors (90s kid here!) The dresses look like they’re from a pattern. I’m the last person to go ahead and sew something but I still find it so cool when people have the skill and patience to create something! Got this @lepuzzpuzzles a few months ago and was excited to assemble it this weekend. It does remind me of some kid parties growing up - the store-bought cakes, the plastics table cloth, pizza and disposable plates. I had so much fun with this wonderful image by @aimeestewartcreations ! The whimsy, the colors, all every detail is just great. Borrowed this @pieceworkpuzzles from @tatersburgerpuzzles and it was just what I needed after settling down from Nationals. Besides being my favorite subject (😉), I haven’t really done many piecework puzzles so I was excited! Starting this one during the week was not the best idea. This is a natural light kind of puzzle to start out. Luckily I was equipped with my @zakcopuzzleboards and sorting trays. They weekend really helped and this puzzle came together really fast. The piece fit is great and the soft touch of the pieces were just perfect! One of my favorite parts is the name of the puzzle: C’est Cheese. I’m always up for a good wordplay and this one did not disappoint 😂🧀🧀🧀
