uh oh…and just like that my 5 year retirement plan is up! this music has been a long time coming and is a product of a lot of things external and internal. this music is very special to me and i feel like i’m making this for a young version of myself that i’ve started remembering again, and i feel truly honored (and for the first time in a long time) excited to be able to share it. this music almost made me throw in the towel all together. this music also made me fall deeper in love with creating and more grateful for it. this music carried me through the last few years. this music is…quite alot of things literally and figuratively. Visually i wanted to try harder than i’ve tried before with anything, and have it represent the music and song in a cinematic way. this track is a personal fav of mine and couldn’t be happier with this new life and look it now has. speaking of which… this video would not have been at all possible without the help and artistic input of @scary.feet , who filmed about 80% of this and did all of the SFX makeup. i knew this would be a difficult task for the two of us and couldn’t think of anyone else i trust more in this medium to help me bring this one to life 🩵🩵 i think this video marks the end of the “w/ Tech !” album era, which was a very special one for many reasons. myself and @flanafi would like to present Short Term Wallet Effects: ‘The New Short Term Wallet Effects’ out today everywhere. these 49 tracks from years 2018-2023 encapsulate much of our uh “creative friendship” and kind of blurs the line between improvised, preconceived, good bad, weird and wonderful music. we had over 300 tracks gathered over the years but shaved it down to 49. all of these tracks were mostly done in one sitting and with zero questions asked. the album is designed to flow from one song into the next like some sort of stream of consciousness nightmare, or you can also skip around frantically like we all do like some sort of stream of consciousness nightmare. some are songs, some are little vignettes, some are beats, some are washes, some are pure comedy. all are idk what. making music together is like turning on a faucet. and this is everything in the bathroom sink. this is The New Stwe too many to pick so here’s 5 seconds of some of my favorites
