Another wild one. After not really spotting any opportunities in the margin i decided to quickly tie up a hair rig and pub chuck it to a weed bed where i had seen one swirl. Again worms were the downfall of this fish however this time i had them slightly popped up with some cork. It didn't take long for the rod to rattle of with this gorgeous mirror. Watched in anticipation as this one hoovered down the slug in about 3 foot of water. Proper made up with this proper old character. After finding a group of fish a couple weeks ago I decided to go do a session for them. I arrived to lake quite late after college but luckily I managed to find them quite quickly. I only brought a loaf which i should of realised wouldn't work as i doubt theyve properly seen bread before. However after watching them swim up to my sinking bread they would nose it or quickly spit it in and out. I decided it was pointless using it. Luckily after turning some logs I found some slugs which ive used for chub with great success in the past so i was happy using it. Sure enough after putting the slug infront of a patrol route in the shallows a group came by and one of them snaffled up the slug. After setting the hook the fish went mental in the shallow water but luckily my size 6 fltr hook held well. #fishing #carpfishing #carp #carplife #foxinternational

This koi kept patrolling the margin in about 1/2 a foot of water. A bit of slow sinking bread proved to much for it to resist. Size 6 zig and floater hooks held well on a pretty much locked up fight as there were snags everywhere. 📸 @4705_ava #fishing #carp #foxinternational
Not a huge carp but means a lot to me likely never been caught before makes all the effort worth it. Handful of corn in the edge and a blowback tripped it up

Excellent days trotting to end a great season. Conditions were far from ideal as the river was quite high and we kept getting plagued by trout(however i did land my first sea trout). New PB pike! After the rivers being flooded me and my mate considered not going however I am so glad we did. I had one rod on a float and the other one ledgering a quite large deadbait. After 1/2 hour the buzzer rod let out a couple beeps and after it was a full blown take I struck. Sadly after seeing the fish it came of (due to me striking quite early ) however ive always found that they tend to bite again as long as the didnt feel the metal. About 2 minutes of getting the rod back out it screamed of and after striking i felt the weight and then it went mad. I was fairly confident that it was the same fish event though this time it held deeper and i was mega relieved when it finally surfaced and got in the net.
