Last year 2025, I had the pleasure of making handcraft animation for Akira @akira.boch ‘s new feature film documentary “Let the City Speak” @letthecityspeak , a film about the music and life journey + philosophy of @quetzalmusic a Chicano rock band that emerged from East LA’s vibrant music scene in the 1990s The animation was handdrawn frame-by-frame and painted in watercolor, which was one of the techinques I wanted to do for a long time. The animation was made with straightahead method, putting focus on the flow of movement and transitions of colors and forms. Thank you Akira for giving me the opportunity to make beautiful animation on such a cool project! ✨✨✨Can’t wait to watch the film in theater with you! A few months ago, my film in development “Haan” got the CNC une aide avant réalisation à la production de films de court métrage – autres films (AVR2)! Since I already had other good news with the film, I was thinking of skipping this post. But honestly, getting this funding was super hard, took a lot of my effort and time, and most of all, achieving it gave me a huge relief. Thanks to @madame_miam @martina_scarpelli_ @caerol_ for working with me on the dossier and animatic🥹 Now, I am looking for two animators to work with me (2d animation + texturing) in @ciclic_cvl 2026 (March-August), a musician, and a sound designer! I am participating in a group exhibition in @snu.moa called “Lost &Found 다시-찾기“. Works of 16 young artists who are from Seoul National University, college of Fine Arts, are curated by 12 curators and reviewed by 15 critics.
