It’s easy being green. Essendon Airport @the_hangar_1979 just sold out of the second pressing with blue screenprinted covers of their new album MOR, and with a bunch of (now sadly postponed) shows coming up they decided to do a third pressing, this time in beautiful green! Another 150 copies, all covers hand screenprinted by the band’s percussion prince Paul Fletcher. Up now on Chapter Bandcamp!

Returning for a second edition after making its debut in 2023, the @independent_music_exchange is set to connect Australia's most admired indie record labels and the fans that sustain them. Taking over Northcote Town Hall this June, expect 50 imprints offering vinyl, cassettes, merch, artist-signed items and more, while an education program featuring leading local voices will help inspire the next generation of label makers. Get the details at our link in bio.

@bjennymontero made these beautiful one-off paintings of Chapter Music record covers for our 20th birthday party in 2012. There were a bunch more that got sold on the day, did anyone get them? Would love to see them again!

***sold out*** Chapter Music & Liquid Architecture present Jeremy Dower performing live in celebration of 'Personal Computer Music, 1997–2022, released via Chapter Music. 8pm, Thursday 30 April Tender, Brunswick Tix in bio and from the Liquid Architecture website. Joining the night in supportive performance will be a duo of Ai Yamamoto and Dan West. Personal Computer Music, 1997-2022 is a quarter century-spanning compilation of previously unreleased music, split into halves to showcase Jeremy's unpronounceable 90s ambient techno project Tetrphnm, as well as the wistful faux-jazz electronica made subsequently under his own name. It is the culmination of Chapter Music’s ongoing reissue series for Jeremy, who is based in Bendigo on Dja Dja Wurrung land. In August, Chapter made his earlier albums available digitally for the first time ever - Sentimental Dance Music For Couples (originally released in 2000 via US label Plug Research, home to releases by Flying Lotus and Jon Tejada) and Music For the Young and the Restless (originally released in 2004 on Japanese imprint Bit Of Heaven). Chapter also released a mini album Music For Retirement Villages, Circa 2050 on 12" and CD back in 2002. Hosted at Tender and presented on the Tender custom made Sound System. Limited capacity! @chaptermusic @personalcomputermusic @tender_place_ @ai_yamamoto_mel @tweakandtwang

I am chuffed about this very sweet introduction to my song Don’t Ask Don’t Tell on @rageabc last night by Lewis from @blackcountrynewroad after I played some records at @merricreektavern in January

Today is the 10th birthday of Up To Anything, the debut album by Brisbane trio @thegoonsax ! Recorded and released when they were still in high school, Up To Anything was fresh and touching and infectious on its release on March 11, 2016, and quickly became a modern classic of jangly indie pop. To celebrate Up To Anything’s 10th birthday we’ve made everything by the Goon Sax 20% off on the Chapter website (link in bio). The band went on to release two more beautiful albums, 2018’s We’re Not Talking and 2021’s Mirror II before breaking up in 2022 and are still sorely missed!
