The drawing room at our Wandsworth project has been a journey that involved bespoke and handcrafted commissions, picking our way through Paris markets, and selecting every unique piece individually.
From the outset we wanted this pair of expertly proportioned Sedillia Sennen sofas, and we positioned them on a 1950s Edward Fields circular rug with a distinctive silk and recessed jute Roulette pattern.
We must give a special mention to the fireplace too: a labour of love restoration of a carved timber mantle piece frieze that we originally sourced from Retrouvious. #interior #interiordesign #design #chapterinteriordesign #drawingroom #art #decor

This kitchen exemplifies Chapter’s client-centered, bespoke design approach. Our client’s years spent living in Asia informed a palette of fumed rattan, rich timber, and honed Saint Laurent marble. The innovative island—conceived to resemble a freestanding piece of furniture, drew inspiration from Asian credenzas and cabinetry detailing and yet it conceals a sink, dishwasher, and steam oven within its cantilevered form.
We thoroughly enjoyed the design process, working with @blakesldn who realized the island design beautifully and brought their expertise and quality to the joinery throughout the house.
Our Heartcore Battersea Power Station site was a hive of activity the last few weeks with the decorative lighting and artwork install. Some behind the scenes footage before it all came together for opening ✨
“If there was such a thing as ‘new British style’, this London semi surely encapsulates it. The result of a meticulous renovation, it injects the bones of a familiar vernacular with modernity and a dash of verve. Teak and rattan finishes blend with marble, travertine and sinuous mid-century shapes.”

Chapter Interiors x Lick: A kitchen makeover
“Chapter undertook a major reconfiguration of this Arts & Crafts home, relocating the kitchen to a former drawing room, designed for large-scale entertaining as well as intimate kitchen dinners. By sensitively creating a new opening in the façade, a direct connection to the garden was formed bringing in light and warmth. Natural green hues became the starting point of the scheme, using Lick on all the architectural and joinery paint finishes.
We used White 05 to refresh the original timber panelling, and White 03 on the walls and ceiling to ensure a clean and modernised kitchen aesthetic. The bold Verde Prato marble island is the protagonist in the room and is neatly offset by rich Green 06 cabinetry under the island counter. The perimeter cabinetry was meticulously designed around the facetted shape of the historic room and panelling, painted in Green 02, and paired with Bourton Moor green slate counters and up stand.”

Scale and proportion are of utmost importance when carving up a space to have a dual function. The custom ‘Pippa table’ with its bowed, sculpted edges was made to fit the space and ensure the dining area was of equal importance to the kitchen. Made in collaboration with the fabulous duo @byronandgomez
The Verde Prato marble island top anchors a palette of green hues throughout this country house kitchen. We reimagined traditional joinery techniques and paired with contemporary furnishings and equipment to meet all the requirements for a modern family kitchen. We love the textured reflection from the gold leaf mirror lining the joinery that brings in so much warmth and light and the garden outside. 📸 @paul_massey
The very inviting kitchen dining area at our Dorset Manor House project is made all the more space efficient and hugely comfortable by the bespoke Howe upholstered bench seat we commissioned and the lozenge shaped marble dining table designed by Simpson Studio 🤎
