We’re ready to share our space with more creatives.
One of the reasons we opened in @downtownoxnard was to contribute to the already vibrant art and creative scene here. More space means more opportunities for growth, collaboration, experiences, and memories.
If you’re ready to produce an awesome exhibition or need a place to host your next pop-up, send us a DM and let’s chat.
We’re very excited for 2026. May this year be filled with hard work, growth, and the achievement of goals we’ve all been working toward.
This is a milestone we are incredibly excited to have reached. Not only are we now able to proudly display our name and logo, but we also get to bring a little more life to the community surrounding us and to everyone who drives by C30 daily.
Huge thank you to @neonplussigns for helping bring this sign to life and for capturing some behind-the-scenes footage, and to @asispainting for creating such a clean paint job to make sure the new sign truly stands out.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us throughout this 9-month journey. This is only the beginning.
We are excited to presents the first installment of our Artist in Residence series, C30 AIR 01.
Join us for the closing pop-up exhibit of resident artist @molagueloera Melissa Olague Loera as she shares work developed during her time in residency. A look into process, exploration, and the evolution of new ideas.

Artist Highlight: Miri @yugenforg
Today we’re highlighting Miri and her newest piece, Bad Dog (mixed media, 14 x 16), fresh out of the studio and marking a strong moment in her evolving practice.
Bad Dog feels like a final scene, quietly cinematic and suspended between chaos and stillness.
A house burns on a hill, isolated in an open landscape. Smoke billows into a soft, pink-tinged sky, creating a strange beauty within destruction. The scene feels both turbulent and calm, distant yet present, like something unfolding in real time while already becoming a memory.
The words “bad dog” draw your eye almost immediately. The dog itself is small and distant, often only noticed after spending time with the painting. In that way, the dog mirrors the viewer, a quiet witness.
The separation between the word and the figure creates a tension between being seen and being named, presence and isolation.
The work was approached instinctively. As Miri shares, “I think there’s an art to not overthinking the idea of creating a perfect piece... allowing the painting to develop naturally and embracing imperfections.” That openness remains visible through loose brushwork, underlayers, and a rawness that adds emotion and tension.
Miri describes the piece as rooted in an emotional atmosphere, touching on processing emotions, especially when they are difficult to express or fully heard.
The image holds ideas of misdirected blame and emotional distance, where something small can carry a larger weight. At the same time, it reflects a shift in recognizing emotional sensitivity not as a flaw, but as something meaningful and generative.
Over the past few years, Miri’s visual language has become increasingly distinct. Bad Dog feels like a clear continuation of that direction.
Bad Dog will be included in Miri’s solo exhibition, A Lamb with Button Eyes, opening August 1st @open_door_studio_805
