Over the last few weeks, we have all witnessed repeated injustices against the Black community. The outrage, the shock is unlike anything we’ve felt before. But this is not new. This has been happening for way too long. Enough is enough. We have no choice but to demand change. We hear you, we stand with you, we fight with you.
change ensemble was created from the desire to stand in solidarity with our Black community. All net proceed from the sales of the t-shirts will be equally donated to NAACP (US) and Black Health Alliance (Canada).
We don’t pretend to fully understand what our Black community is feeling right now, but we believe that hate, racism, injustice and inequality have no space in our communities. We will listen, we will learn and we will contribute where we can. Everyone should feel safe in their skin, no matter its colour.
These are small steps but we’re hoping this initiative will encourage others to participate in whatever way they can.
