we did no storyboarding for this video. we tend to have a pretty clear aesthetic grasp on whatever concepts we’re trying to convey, and the process is iterative / exploratory. i knew i wanted it to be near the encore building. this location has been aesthetically important for both my bands in different ways. as usual, @richard__johnson did a wonderful job capturing our ideas

one of my biggest regrets is not making a very early commitment to music in my youth, but during the height of pandemic panic i started to take music much more seriously. the slow moments were generative for me , and in between my coursework in graduate school i began to treat my music and art like i would an academic pursuit, with creativity , organization, (tho i have am NOT classically trained lol) and meaningful relationships
and i met or reconnected with some of the most wonderful people because of music. and i continue to. it is incredible to see the results of my efforts (which i could not do without the support of others) and it has been the biggest motivation to keep going
