My husband’s parents saved a lot of neat items pertaining to Texas history. On a cool side note, Jim’s dad Bill was an actual “Landman”. This is a promotional postcard from The Ford Motor Company Exhibit for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition at Dallas Fair Park. Ford built the building at a cost of over 2 million dollars! (a lot of pesos back then) It was air conditioned, massive and beautiful as you can see. The expo showcased automotive advancements alongside the integration of Southwest agriculture and natural resources in car manufacturing. The contents in the postcard box reflect those materials. (back when asbestos was a-ok😱). Sadly, the art deco building was demolished a few years later. 🤷🏻‍♀️The Grand Place at fair park was then built on the site. Fair Park is one of my favorite spots in Dallas. I’m glad the city is interested in preserving it, something Dallas is historically not good at. #allthingstexas #artdeco #fordmotorcompany #dallas #fairpark

I had a great time stitching at the soft opening of Ospi Dallas tonight. I was working so I didn’t get to eat but can’t wait to go back and dine there. The food looks incredible! It was a little bittersweet being in that space. I will always miss The Moth. 😞 Thanks for having me out! 💋 @ospi

This was a fun one! 🤠 Thank you Christian for this commission! These were a collaboration with @cianofarmerdenimco and based on artwork by David Bond @luckybdesign . What a great take on a new style of car club jackets for the Goodnights! Sorry I couldn’t make the party. Missed seeing Dale too. @thedalewatson @christianbmiller @luckybdesign @cianofarmerdenimco @goodnights_cowtown @slusherphoto
