This contemplative experience explores tea as a tool for connection, focusing on the importance of presence and shared experience. By slowing down and fully engaging with the process of preparing, enjoying, and sharing tea, participants will deepen their connection with themselves, others, and the present moment. I believe that tea is a connector. It is multi sensory & can create wonder & presence, which can remind us how to stay open to connection & love. Link in highlights.
From a farm in Sylacauga @egglingtonfarms , a downtown baker @birminghambreadworks , and an artisanal chocolatier in Forest Park @chocolatabham to Cha House tea in Avondale, the grocery club is your one-stop shop for sustenance (and treats!) for your next two weeks.
Every 2 weeks, we (and our amazing partners!!) do the leg work to compile a dozen farm fresh eggs, a loaf of sourdough bread, a chocolate bar from the best in the biz, and a tea - all together now! You pick it up all in one place at Cha House, every other weekend (Fri-Sun pickup) for $35.
You can set up autopay or pay your invoice online via square or in person at our POS.
The grocery club helps us manage our orders so we can reduce food waste 🫶♻️ A big win-win for this community.
Shop local. Shop Cha House.

Tonight! A non-judgmental space to talk about death
Free and organized by volunteers associated with Birmingham Community Deathcare
Death Cafés are open, welcoming spaces to talk about death and dying, and, often, about what it means to live fully. There’s no agenda, no fixing, and no advice-giving. Just thoughtful conversation, deep listening, and the simple power of being in community around vulnerable and meaningful topics.
Second to last class of this series! The last class will be next month, June 14th!
So if you have been wanting to check out one of the Ayurvedic Breathwork and/or Ayurvedic Yoga classes, now is the time!
@chahousebham at 11 a.m. for breathwork
@goldentemplehealthfoods at 1 p.m. for yoga
Please join this Sunday the 17th and bring a friend :)

What if the reason you opened a business had nothing to do with profit?
On today’s Localist episode, I talk to Cierra Lober, owner of @chahousebham , a place for community that’s centered around a tea house. We cover so many things that apply to small businesses, but also to anyone who wants to make their work line up with their principles:
🫖 How to create a welcoming third place
🫖 How Cierra learned about tea
🫖 How to rely on others when you’re burned out
Find The Localist wherever you listen to podcasts, or watch on YouTube through the link in my profile!
