New Old Polygon explores 3D animation as a form of deliberate craftsmanship, shifting the focus toward how human interpretation and collaboration bring digital spaces with artistic value. By making the labor behind 3D production visible, the project seeks to bridge the gap between the tactile and the virtual.
During the workshop, we will collectively build a 3D digital scene using clay. Participants will sculpt individual objects and share personal stories, which we will integrate into a virtual environment on the same day. All sculptural materials are provided on-site, and we invite you to bring your phone.
Following the workshop, a dancer(@jieonko ) will interpret these sculpted objects and their stories through movement. This site-specific performance at Filmhuis Cavia.
The event concludes with a screening of Pink, which shows a form of craftsmanship, focusing on how a labor-intensive process in the non-digital realm can bring artistic value to digital creation.
To join the workshop, please RSVP via DM or email at [email protected]
