PRESSURE POINTS CHRISHABANA’s “POP” SS26 Collection by @old_dog_new_trixx Look 2 and Look 13 introduce The Silicone Band series, continuing CHRISHABANA’s ongoing dialogue with silicone as both material and message. CHRISHABANA has embraced the medium’s organic, dripping texture as a new staple for the brand. After developing a custom look for Ice Spice in 2024, the studio refined a new technique using engineered silicone sheets. Mesh pattern pieces were drafted to the body and reinforced with corset busks. Liquid silicone was poured over each panel. Once cured, every piece was cut back to its original measurements, transforming the sheets into precise structural bands. These bands function like wearable resistance exercise straps. Strapped tightly to the body, they compress and redirect flesh. Some areas are cinched while others remain exposed and breathable. The result is calibrated tension between constraint and release, embodying the runway’s theme of restraint and expansion. CHRISHABANA for CIARA CHRISHABANA worked with @marnixmarni to design and create two custom faux stretch leather looks for @ciara ‘s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in NYC and Vodun Days performances in West Africa. The white look featured a bias-cut leather hooded top trimmed with faux fur which was then adorned with crystal striped detailing running down the arms. The top was paired with ruched flared pants, a faux double fly, and a five layer studded belt. The black look followed a similar structure. A zip-up hooded top paired with the same faux double fly pant and five layer studded belt. Backup dancers for Ciara New Year’s Rockin’ Eve performance wore custom CHRISHABANA faux fur crop tops. CHRISHABANA for AVA MAX CHRISHABANA created a customized mask, corset, top, and stretched chiffon skirt for @avamax ‘s MDLBeast Sandstorm performance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With just a three day turnaround, CHRISHABANA designed and created a 4 piece look. An under bust corset was hand-embellished with draped chains and stretched chiffon, layered over a crystallized and hand beaded, draped long sleeve top. To add movement and coverage, the same stretched chiffon was sewn into a draped skirt. The look was finished with a flat top headpiece, wrapped in chiffon that veiled the face, detailed with hand-sewn chains and crystallized accents. To add more movement and coverage to the look, the same draped chiffon material for the top and corset was used to make a skirt. Thank you @neoncomplex for bringing us onto this project.
