This mixed media piece is a reflection of my journey through the noise, the hustle, and the moments of silence where the only thing speaking is the spray can. ​The Grit: If you look closely at the canvas, you’ll see the layers. The thick textures represent the weight of the process. There’s a note at the bottom that says, "Do not kick me yet." It’s a raw acknowledgement of the struggle. As a creative in this space, you often feel like you're just one "kick" away from the edge, navigating a system that wasn't necessarily built for dreamers. But we no dey carry last. That resilience is what fuels the "grit." It’s the stubbornness to keep standing when everything suggests you should sit down. ​The Gratitude: Despite the friction, there is a crown. Whether it’s on the main subject or the younger version of myself declaring "I can be President," the message is clear: royalty is a mindset. I chose "Stay Grateful" as the centerpiece because gratitude is the only thing that keeps the vision clear. ​I’m grateful for the hands that create, the eyes that see hope in the chaos, and the community that recognizes the soul behind the paint.
