After a five month break, MPPs are taking ANOTHER week off from Queen’s Park to be in their ridings and in your communities for “Constituency Week”. After voting down a motion to reverse these cuts, it’s time to let our MPPs know that students will not stop putting pressure on them.
Take a look at the list of MPPs that voted against, or didn’t show up to vote. Try to meet with them, organize actions outside their offices, coordinate phone zaps, and send email blasts – do not let our MPPs relax until they reverse OSAP loans to grants, stop the tuition hikes, and get their hands OFF our education!

Ne laissez pas nos députées et députés provinciaux se la couler douce tant qu’ils ne convertissent pas les prêts du RAFEO en bourses, qu’ils ne mettent pas fin aux hausses de droits de scolarité et qu’ils ne cessent pas de toucher à notre système d’éducation!
Yesterday, Ford’s Government defeated the ONDP motion to reverse cuts to OSAP and eliminate interest on student loans - while all three opposition parties united to support it.
Take a look at who exactly decided to vote no without any remorse, and who couldn’t even be bothered to show up (spoiler alert: our premier wasn’t even there).
Tag them, shame them, give them a call (suggested script in our bio!). Tell them exactly how you feel about their decision to decimate public education and OSAP. Our emailer tool is also still active, shoot them a couple emails while you’re at it - edit it to let them know how you feel about their votes yesterday.

This is the start of a new term for student unions across the province - and it’s just the beginning of an escalated fight against this government, and the regressive education changes we’re seeing across the board. This fight requires every single one of us – and student unions are just one part of a united student front that’s organized to fight back against the many regressive fights we’re facing.
We’re looking forward to sharpening our organizing skills in the coming months, and we can’t wait to see folks back on their campuses!

Nous assistons au début d’un nouveau mandat pour les associations étudiantes de partout dans la province - ainsi qu’au tout début de l’escalade d’un nouveau combat contre ce gouvernement et contre les changements régressifs qu’on a apportés de façon unilatérale dans notre système d’éducation. Dans ce combat, nous comptons sur chacun de vous – et les associations étudiantes ne représentent qu’un aspect du front étudiant uni qui s’organise pour rétorquer aux nombreuses luttes régressives auxquelles nous sommes confrontés.
Nous sommes vraiment anxieux de peaufiner nos aptitudes pour l’organisation au cours des prochains mois et nous sommes impatients de vous revoir sur leurs campus!
Today we, the undersigned student groups, workers, unions, and faculty have sent a letter to the University demanding that they revoke their sponsorship of CANSEC. CANSEC is an annual Canadian defence and security conference that hosts weapons manufacturers and governments accused of war crimes and human rights abuses.
UofT’s sponsorship marks the first time in CANSEC’s history that a public university has sponsored the event. We reject this move towards militarism by the University and demand that UofT uphold its very own mission in the protection of human rights and the advancement of justice by:
1. Revoking their sponsorship from CANSEC
2. Not sending representatives to attend CANSEC
3. Implementing a divestment policy for weapons companies and other companies that violate human rights, similar to the University’s policy on fossil fuel divestment
4. Refusing to partner with weapons companies complicit in war crimes or human rights violations for research or commercial purposes
