Creating rhythm and flow
But most importantly building a world through atmosphere to immerse you
And if the sound design is done right it’ll take your viewers for a ride that they won’t forget
Each sound effect does something for your video
Risers build tension
Hits accent an important moment
Deep tones (ambient) create atmosphere
Whooshes emphasize movement or and action
And transition sounds are for quick and dirty transition from scene to scene
And combined together you can completely immerse whoever is watching
So don’t let SFX be an afterthought because it’s one of the most powerful tools we have
