What a night! Checked out @iloveboostersmovie , an anti-capitalism fever dream that was absolutely BRILLIANT.
After the screening, there was an incredible Q&A with @bootsriley , who should, and probably will, lead the next revolution, and an intimate meet and greet at @wildseedcentre , where he was as gracious and sweet as you think he'd be.

We had such an incredible time at the Toronto Ukrainian Film Festival hosting Connections with ConneKt Film.
The room was full of incredible creatives, emerging and established voices, and industry professionals. The energy was real, the curiosity was there, and the conversations felt honest, open, and needed.
From thoughtful insights on funding, festivals, distribution and building sustainable careers, to meaningful connections that continued long after the panel, this was a reminder of how powerful it is to bring people together.
We are so grateful for this partnership, for our incredible panelists who shared their knowledge so openly, and for everyone who showed up, engaged, and supported both the conversation and Ukrainian cinema.
This is exactly why ConneKt Film exists to create spaces where filmmakers can connect, learn, and grow together.

We're pleased to announce our next AXT: Behind the Screen event!
On Saturday, March 28th, we're celebrating Women's History Month with a beautiful, "coming-of-adulthood" love story, THIS PLACE, co-written and directed by V.T. Nayani, a recent alumni of the Canadian Film Centre’s Directors' Lab (‘21).
THIS PLACE is Nayani's feature-length directorial debut, and celebrated its World Premiere at TIFF in 2022.
The AXT Foundation Initiative's invite-only community screening will be followed by an interactive Q&A with V.T., and an Authentic Narratives micro-workshop.
About the film:
The emerging love between two young women is complicated by their families’ histories, which bear the legacies of loss, migration and displacement.

The Toronto Premiere of @undertonemovie was incredible!
I was honoured to host the screening and see the phenomenon that @chad_archibald , @iantuason , @codes , @slaterverse and @greyskillgroup created literally sweeping the horror landscape.
The stellar cast featuring @neeenze , Michele Duquet, and @adamdimarco , and a crew who is more like a big family, gave the night a tangible energy that everyone felt!!
From the @fantasiafestival World Premiere, intentional screenings and back home to Toronto with the genre community out in full force! Very happy for this gang of humans!!
