Through the JUMP Leadership Accelerator (JLA), NBA Teams, @jump_theproject , and @nbacoalition , with the support of @thenbpa , are empowering the next generation of changemakers—helping them build careers at the intersection of sports business, public policy, and social impact.
JLA includes three components:
🏀 The Assist (8‑week rotations with an NBA team and a local advocacy organization)
📚 The Academy (JLA’s signature 9-month policy training)
💫 The Advance (opportunities to participate in milestone moments like NBA All‑Star Weekend and @jobsforthefuture Horizons Summit)

The Shamrock Foundation surprised @horizonsforhomelesschildren and @squareonespringfield as the inaugural recipients of Fast Break Fund grants. The grants exceed $1.2 million cumulatively and provide support for education-focused initiatives across each organization's community. Another $670,000 will be distributed across an additional nine nonprofits in support of their outreach programs.
SURPRISE!!! Fast Break Fund winners 💚 Tonight, the Horizons for Homeless Children and Square One were awarded a combined $1.28M to expand life-changing early education initiatives. Horizons will receive $530K to grow STEAM programming for homeless and at-risk youth in Roxbury, while Square One receives $750K to strengthen clinical support for children who have experienced trauma.
Part of nearly $1.95M distributed across 11 organizations, this surprise moment continues the commitment to investing in education, equity, and brighter futures.
