It was a rollercoaster of emotions on our dive with @benji_s_jones and @jmadler for @voxdotcom earlier this month. As the sun set, we saw so many 100+ year old colonies succumb this summer’s abnormally high temperatures. But, that same night, we were lucky enough to observe a resilient colony of the endangered lobed star coral still spawn despite the thermal stress 🪸
