Turns out it wasn't a monkey on my back, but the world's largest fruit bat! Malaysia's giant flying fox is extraordinary, massive eyeballs, and incredible sense of smell, allow it to elegantly fly through throughout the treetops and search of lush tropical fruit. Not for the faint of heart! This was a record breaking, monster-sized Fer-de-lance viper! My heart was racing from both excitement and a bit of fright! Our mission was to collect venom used for manufacturing life-saving antidote. FYI - at the end of this clip you see me holding up an antidote vile, that was for a coral snake bite that I nearly died from over 30 years ago.
