A baby bird decided to land on my shoulder today. It was basically the best thing that ever happened to me! He stayed for a minute then flew into a tree (for the first time!) Proud of him for nailing his rite of passage 🪽 and I can’t stop thinking about what it would feel like to all of a sudden realize you can actually fly. Good luck out there little friend! 🕊️🐧🪶
I spent part of Mother’s Day celebrating all the cosmic and earthly mothers with my NC bestie @skillinaction and our pups hiking in the sunshine and eating her legendary charcuterie cornucopia 🍷🧀🍒. We spent time with a black snake, llama, sheep, goats, one incredible male turkey, chickens, and of course Michelle’s beehives all named after Greek Goddesses. We poured libations for Mary (and so many more) at the oak tree and wrote the names of every mother we wanted to honor, including our own moms and grandmothers, and Michelle sang in Sanskrit while I rang bells. Here’s to doing the holidays your way and creating new ways to celebrate life with the people you love. So lucky to have you in my life, Michelle! Hope all the mamas out there had a beautiful day! Can’t wait to get to NH and hug mine soon 💖

When I’m not playing music I’m collecting treasure from across the ages and realms. My sailing ship currently overflows with 🏆and 💎 so I’m docking at @mothershipstudioswsnc parking lot this Sunday from 12-6 in peak peddler form in order to support the amazing efforts of Mothership, who now host a community fridge/pantry and is collecting funds for building their free community clothing closet. I’m so inspired and impressed with how these women dedicate their lives to nurturing creativity, eco friendly practices, and collective care. 10% of all sales will be donated to their noble causes so come get some magical items you don’t know you need until you see 👁️ and support your neighbors thereby (including me! Thank you!) 🪽💋💘
I got to wear a bee suit for the first time to welcome Athena to her new Parthenon hive (!) with @mysticcassandra , who helped rescue these 🐝🐝from a column in a house today. We brought her an owl figurine to help calm her down bc she was really fiery at first. Sitting with the hives today was truly holy. Thanks Michelle for aligning the stars as always to bring magic into my life. I ❤️ you and your vortex of bee powers. Eating honey made by bees you are friends with is a top tier human experience. 🍯🙏 Everyone should read Michelle’s book Wisdom of the Hive! It’s about bees and collective consciousness.
