I did a lot of of research on this effect to get the result I wanted. At first, I tried using After Effects, but it was nasty, slow to render, and not that interesting. In the end, I only kept Kurtis’ rotoscoping shot from After Effects.
Then, I used
@touchdesigner to create the « Tunnel » effect and composed everything in
@smodetech , adding recoloring with pop colors cause the footage was originally in black and white.
Really happy I to get the effect like I wanted! Hopefully, I can make it work in real-time for a live performance.
