Isabella & Jack hosted their wedding celebrations at the stunning @pasadenasydney last weekend.
This was our first wedding at this gorgeous location, so we knew we wanted to bring a fresh perspective to such an established and refined venue.
The energy on the felt effortless and intentional - which ultimately came down to the incredible family and friends that celebrated with Bella and Jack all evening. It was one of those days where we somehow felt we knew everyone in the room - so much warmth and happiness everywhere we were.
We helped Bella & Jack feel like they could be their authentic selves during portraits - which is an important part of our process. Timeless photos & film are ultimately derived from experiencing genuine and honest emotions on the day. Not a trend, nothing forced, but something real.
Thanks for allowing us to document these timeless moments for you both ❤️ @belladefina@jack_curtis1

I never thought I’d see the day where I’d ask my fiancé to pretend to marry probably one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen but as the saying goes
Do it for the gram 😎

⛈️ No matter what the weather brings on your wedding day - it will be the most special & unforgettable day because it still all about celebrating your love 🫶🏼
But… we can make it a lot less stressful and seamless by having a contingency plan.
Thats why one of my non-negotiable wedding planning tips is: always have a contingency plan, aka a wet weather option! ☔️⚡️
You can’t control the weather, but you can control your backup plan. Whether it’s a stunning indoor space, a marquee, or a simple relocation to the reception venue, having a contingency means:
💫 Less stress on the day - because you know your contingency options and when you need to decide by (3 days before or 10am on the day of your wedding?)
💫 No last-minute scrambling to find another option - you already have this locked in and they know to expect you!
💫 Your vendors and guests know where to be - communicating early and seamlessly (ensure you dont loose that spreadsheet with every ones details)
💫 A seamless, relaxed & unforgettable ceremony no matter what - I cannot stress this enough!
The truth is, some of the most magical weddings happen under grey skies… but only when there’s a solid plan behind the scenes.
So plan for sunshine, but prepare for everything ☀️🌧️
Your future selves will thank you 😘

Planning a ceremony in a public space like the beach, a park, or in a beautiful garden? 🏝️☀️
There is a critical wedding planning step many forget.
When you book a public ceremony location, you’re usually only booking the land itself. That means everything else needs to be brought in.
✨ Ceremony chairs
✨ A signing table
✨ Styling and setup
✨ Florals and installations
✨ Drinks service (if you’d like a post-ceremony toast or just water for you and your guests 🥵)
Public ceremonies can be absolutely stunning, they just require a little extra planning behind the scenes compared to traditional venues who may already organise this for you for an extra fee.
If a public space ceremony is part of your vision, make sure you factor in the additional suppliers and setup time in your planning and budget.
Save this for later if you’re in the middle of planning your wedding 🤍🫶🏼

Ceremonies, Redefined. Ep.2 - What Guests Actually Remember.
Your guests won’t remember every detail of your wedding, but they WILL remember how it they felt.
They’ll remember the energy & the vibe. You dont need to throw a money at something to make it a better experience or more memorable.
You want to ensure you are most importantly, spending intentionally, especially in areas that matter to you as the couple!
Put yourself in the shoes of the guests- which by the way is you - what would make it special for you? What would be memorable? What is important to you? What matters? What do you want to feel during X and Y?
Those answers will guide where you should spend your precious time, money and energy.
Most couples feel a mix of excitement and nerves standing at the front of their ceremony.
That first moment - when everyone is looking at you - can feel big.
This is why I love offering 60 seconds of photos right at the beginning.
It:
• Releases nervous energy
• Lets guests feel included
• Stops sneaky phone photos later
• Protects your professional shots
• Still allows for a fully unplugged ceremony
It’s the perfect middle ground between “unplugged ceremony ” and “phones out the entire time.”
Everyone captures the moment.
Then we tuck them away and become fully present.
Because your ceremony sets the emotional tone for the entire day and small, intentional choices make a big difference.
Would you start your ceremony this way? 💍
