“Pour Me” is officially out everywhere… This one became the biggest musical swing I’ve taken so far — 110 tracks layered across 12 instruments including violin, viola, cello, trumpet, flugelhorn, piano, guitar, drums, and female vocals. Every note on this record was played by a real musician, which still blows my mind. With each release, I’ve been trying to build a completely different world sonically while keeping the same emotional thread underneath it all. “Pour Me” is meant to feel like trying to untangle your thoughts in real time — chaotic, overlapping, emotional, a little overwhelming — so the arrangement leans into that like a stream of consciousness. Huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this to life: @joeymacmahan — back once again to produce another Joey squared track. We made this one out of his studio, and he helped shape it into something far beyond the demo I started with. @danieljbermudez — mixed and mastered the track and also played drums, bass, and keys. Absolute Swiss Army knife in the studio and a massive part of what made this record feel alive. @connorstylevance — violin, viola, and cello. I’ve dreamed of having real strings on my music since I first started, and Connor brought that to life in an incredible way. @ceej_mouse — trumpet and flugelhorn. He brought huge cinematic energy and really elevated the sound. @ilana.iy — vocals. She actually dueted this song on TikTok right after the first day I started writing it, so having her on the final version feels really full circle. Her voice brings the perfect underlying emotion. @veronicaageorge — we originally planned for a regular shoot, but I ended up loving her work so much that one became the official cover art. (She shot all of these awesome pics!) It is such a thrill and privilege to share my art with you. Thank you to everyone listening - the support genuinely means so much to me.
