I have come to love this little section of the exhibition. It feels like a temple, a quiet place to honour working hands, natural materials and the beautiful interactions of humans and the wild things.
Raku pots by @cecilywillis_potter have feathers and leaves literally burnt into their dna
The paintings are mine, made with the same carbon and charcoal that gave the pots their colour.
Natural pigments on linen, nothing else 🖤

‘Life in Squares’ by Violet Bond @violetbond and Cecily Willis @cecilywillis_potter opened April 10.
The work is collectable, interactive and inviting to touch. The colours used and obtained combine the natural hues of our northern environment with those we are drawn to in our decorative life spaces.
This incredible exhibition is open until May 1st.
