Making my first short film was an excellent practice in “yes I can”.
I wrote it.
I directed it.
I acted in it.
I produced it with my team of Shorties.
Genuinely, something I never thought I’d do!
Theater is a “you had to be there” experience that lives in memory. Film feels far more permanent, which is nerve wracking!! This first film was a learning opportunity, and while there’s things I’d change if I got to do it again, I’m taking this as a moment to be proud of being brave enough to start.
Now You Now I Know is out now! How lucky am I to have a team that I also get to call my friends:

Waking up in Kenya the first morning I had a brief moment of - what have I done? I was looking at my little bubble in Africa on the Find My app, and seeing how far I was from everyone else in my life gave me pause. Right at that moment someone started blasting Rihanna outside my window and I knew things were going to be just fine!
