‘Everything You Could Be’ is just about a week old now and I’m happy to share these wonderful reviews in from Neil Duggan at AllAboutJazz.com, Dee Dee McNeil at Making A Scene magazine, and Robert C. Gilbert on the Listening Sessions substack. I’m immensely grateful to everyone who’s taken the time to listen, and a huge thank you to Duggan, McNeil, and Gilbert for writing their thoughts. All three reviews are easily accessible through the link in my bio to read the full articles! Photo by @rick__harris Graphic design by @oliviaprestimedia

Save the date! I'll be presenting an hour of original music with the great Don Thompson, beginning as duo and expanding to a full quintet also featuring Steve Carson, Bjorn Kriel, and Aaron Blewett (alongside a guest appearance from Duncan Wilson). Don and I have been playing duo for about 7 years now, and I'm thrilled to finally have the chance to share that publicly as well as to premiere new repertoire not heard on my album. ('D.D.Q.' will make it to the setlist though!) April 29th, 8:30pm. Heliconian Hall, free entry. See you there!

This June is gonna be a really special month. Those who know me know how big of an influence Don Thompson has had on me, and I’m thrilled to share that Don and I alongside Pat LaBarbera will be playing two nights of some of our favourite standards at @hirutcafe this coming Friday and Saturday 8pm-10pm. As well, my Nonet project performing Don’s beautiful small band arrangements is making its triumphant return to @jazzbistroto on June 24th at 8:30pm as a part of the Toronto Jazz Festival! The ticket link is available in my bio or at the Jazz Bistro website. (The audio on slide 1 is the chart on Duke Ellington’s “Blue Rose”, audio-less version on slide 2.)
