🌟 PCOS is getting the glow-up it deserves. 🌟
ICYMI, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) has officially been renamed to Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), which better reflects its symptoms and better describes what the condition involves. The new title, agreed upon by an international consortium of doctors and experts and published in The Lancet medical journal, encapsulates the condition not just as a reproductive issue affecting the ovaries, but one that affects the endocrine and metabolic systems too.
The hope is that the new name will improve care for PMOS sufferers and allow for earlier diagnosis and treatment. Here’s what you need to know.
Share this post to bring awareness to the condition ❤️

👩⚕️ Happy National Nurses Week 👩⚕️ to CCRM Fertility’s incredible group of Advanced Practice Nurses.
These nurse practitioners, who all earned their master’s degrees or higher in the field of nursing, work closely every day with our MDs and our patients. Depending on their exact role at their clinic, these providers perform ultrasounds during monitoring and early pregnancy; physical exams; procedures including IUIs, hysteroscopies, and HSGs; help interpret lab results; coordinate cycles; and offer fertility counseling.
Each of these women offers her patients personalized, compassionate fertility care and works in tandem with our Physician Assistants (PAs) and Reproductive Endocrinologists (REIs). In fact, booking with a CCRM advanced practice provide is a fast-track to a CCRM fertility doctor, who they work in close collaboration with on your medical care and who performs any necessary surgical procedures.
We’re so grateful for the excellent patient care these ladies bring to our clinics. Leave a shoutout for your favorite CCRM NP in the comments below 👇!

Sending extra love to mothers with heavy hearts this Bereaved Mother’s Day.
In memory of the child you lost, and honoring the mother you are. Today holds space for the love that continues, and for every motherhood journey to be met with compassion and care.
Here’s to wishing that, in time, the emotional load feels a little lighter. If this year was supposed to look different, we see you. 🤍
The past few decades have been a time of transformative change in reproductive medicine, and Dr. Schoolcraft and his team have been pioneers in this field since 1987.
So yeah, you can say CCRM Fertility has been at this thing for a while; we’re celebrating our big 4-0 next year.

Blooming together 💐🌸 Last week’s flower arranging class was more than just creativity - it was connection, sharing stories, support and a quiet understanding that no one is alone on this journey. Each arrangement told a story of resilience, patience, and beauty can grow even in u certain seasons. Grateful for moments like these that remind us that infertility isn’t just medical, it’s emotional, communal, and deeply human. #infertilityawareness #ccrmfertilityofchicago
