☕✨ New Episode! ✨☕
I sat down with Fraser Smith @eh9_fraser and Camillo Feuchter @camilloatlas to chat through how they became friends through @eh9.espresso 's Perth Road Cafe on to creating the second cafe on Annfield Road.
We talk about why it's named after an Edinburgh postcode, how giving away free coffee to barbers was part of a strategy to build a community and the level of detail that he puts into creating experiences around coffee.
Designer and maker, Camillo gives me an insight into how he went from asking for spare bottle tops to creating furniture and eventually designing the entire interior for EH9 Annfield Road.
This is part one of a two-part deep dive into their journeys, creative process and how well their relationship work. A bit of a love story, really.

Ruby Coyne founder and Creative Director of @dreamlandclothing joins me for a festive special of the podcast. She shares an honest view on the difficulties of running a small creative business, the problems with being a 'Yes' person and why we need to rethink internships. A great reflective episode with lots to think about as we all head towards the end of the year and hopefully get some headspace to digest what we've been up to.

"How many kickflips has that chopping board done?" Another great chat this week with @nocomply.design who take me from making questionable pallet furniture to designing a whole process taking old and broken skateboards and repurposing them into beautiful objects. A fascinating insight into how they work, how they learned woodworking from scratch and how they've grown a business from an idea.

Graphic designer @witha4 is behind the microphone this week discussing why trying to mould students into the best designers in the world, instead of preparing them for the reality, isn't the best approach. We also dip into trends, dealing with feedback and how he got a job that magically disappeared.
