I saw a reel of someone bringing an xbox Kinect to a rave and the results were so sick, I wanted to recreate that look solely in after effects.

I really wanted to try something new because recently I felt like Iāve been plateauing in evolving my editing style and I havenāt been experimenting enough. The bangers that thrown put out are so perfect for me to try stuff and go ape shit, so I did just that. This was so fun I love making cool shit

Some quick effectslop before I leave for tour in less than 12 hours
Playing around with some layouts, displacement maps, and of course, glitches. I've had about 2 whole seconds for personal work these past few weeks so I'm glad to make something even if its mad short lol
Had the privilege of shooting @deafheavenband whe they came in to Lawrence in October
No crazy edits on this one, I really liked the footage and decided to mostly just focus on that instead of flow, fx, etc. I did have a moodboard for this one so I might upload a timelapse my editing process
Quick visual I made yesterday. I recorded my editing process and that video will be up tomorrow, still gotta edit it down.
Trying to get into the habit of doing lower commitment stuff, like how illustrators do sketches. I want to āsketchā more as a video editor.
Experimenting here, first time adding B roll to a show recap (kinda not really much of a recap anymore) and I think it turned out cool.
I wanted to use this @harmsway13 song cause it fucks, and I wanted to add lyrics cause those are fun, and I found when I used only the show footage for the lyrics, it just felt weird. Talking about war and corruption and the only footage to support it is people performing on stage. So I threw in some clips to go with it. This was mad fun to make, sad to research

Really love this one. One of my favorite bands, my favorite song by them, love the theme and decided to lean into it with my style of editing. Yes I handmade every red rectangle and tracked them on every frame. Thanks for watching
